Claire would say that this isn't the most flattering view of her and I would say that a wide angle lens shot from above doesn't offer a flattering view of anybody. But she is lovely nonetheless and in a very beautiful place where I could spend hours just looking at that special view.
Unfortunately I don't have hours because I am always in a hurry to find that next photograph. I have turned into my Dad without realising it. When did that happen?

I've probably seen Norfolk & Western No. 2156 at the National Museum of Transport in St. Louis but this was the first and likely only time I would see the Class Y6a steamer in motion. It was being ferried westbound through Glen Hall, Indiana, on the NS Lafayette District en route to St. Louis to return to its owner after spending five years on display at the Virginia Museum of Transportation.

The fanged pitcher plant is by far one of the coolest of the Nepenthes genus. This species is one of the largest growing Nepenthes plants and grows in the lowland forests of Borneo. The 'Fangs' of this species are large nectary glands which attract invertebrates and supports a mutualistic relaationship with an ant species (Camponotus schmitzi) which utilises the hollow in the twist of the pitchers stem for refuge.
