One of my school libraries is tiny. This isn't it. This is the nonfiction and reference side. Of course, basic skills and other teachers are usually using the space.

Books I just read: fascinating forensic travels - Beyond the geographical glimpse at the off-limits, off the beaten track China, this book offers many dialogues with a broad range of Chinese fellow travelers. The author has the added advantage of speaking Mandarin.

Amna Tounekti, a 26 year old teacher and member of the “Voix de l’Enfant” association, created with 20 volunteers a library for at-risk students in Tataouine. The location of the project was an under-developed zone of Tataouine in southern Tunisia where many students lack access to literature, quality after-school programs, and a civic cause to engage in. “Maktabi” began its work at the Tounket Primary School and engaged a network of volunteers to lead a book drive to establish a library for students age 6-12 who have no access to library at their state school because of limited finance resources. 120 children at the Tounket primary school in Tataouine, profiting from the project. One bookcase and more than 300 book stories were collected and bought.

“Work team is not a new thing for me as I am used to it through my work with the association “Voix de l’Enfant, but this experience helped me meet committed people, ready to help and to engage in civil activism. I met real leaders; we learned from each other and fortified our skills of leadership. AIC staffers were there to help us with trainings and strategic planning”
