Situé sur un pic à 350 m séparant la vallée de l’Arros à celle de l’Achella, cet ancien marquisat offre un point de vue très agréable Cette position géographique lui permit de posséder des moulins à vent, ce qui lui valut son patronyme dérivé du mot meunier.
Au XVIe siècle, le château fort de Mun fut détruit pour être reconstruit par Jean de Mun au XVIIe siècle. Il ne reste plus aujourd’hui que la chappelle où l’on peut y admirer un magifique retable datant, lui, du XVIIIe siècle.
Au gré des sentiers de randonnées, de superbes panoramas s’offrent à vous avant de faire une pose pique nique au bord du lac de l’Achella. Suivez bien le balisage jaune et bonne promenade !

On a hill of 350 m separating the valleys of the Arros and the Achella, this ancient marquisate offers very pleasant views. Its geographical position allowed it to have windmills, which gave the village its name; Mun is from meunier, French for miller.
In the C16th, the castle here was destroyed for rebuilding by Jean of Mun in the C17th. All that remains of it today is the chapel, where you can admire a beautiful retable dating from the C18th.
If you like hiking trails, superb panoramas offer themselves to you before you enjoy a picnic by Achella lake. Just follow the yellow markers and enjoy your walk!

En motiu de la inauguració del nou equipament de Cal Muns al Barri de la Bordeta (Barcelona), vam organitzar el passat 9 de setembre una festa popular per donar a conèixer el centre i oferir una jornada de portes obertes. Durant la festa vam tenir diverses activitats infantils, entre elles, la cançó de l'Heroi Ets Tu que es va poder cantar amb tots els assistents a l'acte.

Although we are greeting a new day cycle as the sun rises Mun heads off to bed. We had a photographer out here hoping to catch Minmus transiting off the sun but we just missed it so he turned around to snap Mun instead

This rare event was captured by astrophotographer Thileg Kerman, who traveled out to the west shore desert to be able to see it, positioning himself so that both Minmus and Eve were set to be occulted by Mun. Moving to a higher or lower latitude would have caused one or the other to miss. If it had gotten lighter any sooner he would have had to have charted a maritime vessel to take this photo from the sea. Gilly is also just visible at the rim of Mun
Minmus appears to "rise" up behind Mun as Mun rises up above the horizon. In reality Mun and Minmus are moving in the same direction however Mun is moving faster and Kerbin's surface is moving faster still, so as we turn and Mun rises above the horizon Mun travels ahead of Minmus and makes it appear to rise up behind it
This is actually a pretty rare event due to several reasons. One, you need to be at the right place on Kerbin at sunrise. Two, Mun has to be in the right position. Three and most importantly, Eve has to be in the right position. Eve being able to slip behind Mun depends on it being 1) far enough from the sun to be seen and 2) low enough along its inclined orbit not to miss Mun entirely

Hong Kong 香港 - A historic Fishing Village named 鲤鱼门 Lei Yue Mun located near 油塘 Yau Tong MTR Station.
The fishing village is located in the far eastern part of Kowloon. It is completely surrounded by high rise apartment yet retains its true native Chinese fisherman style atmosphere with a drop dead view of Hong Kong Island across the Bay!
鲤鱼门已有超过150年历史, 昔日的村民大部分是农夫, 渔民和矿工. 及至六十年代, 渔村开始出现菜馆, 并逐渐发展成为驰名的海鲜美食区.
当时, 大部分顾客会先到鱼市场挑选鲜活海产, 然后交给菜馆烹调. 现在, 鲤鱼门的菜馆数目增加了不少, 顾客除了可在海鲜摊档挑选海产以外, 还可在菜馆点选现烹的海鲜菜.
现今香港大厦林立, 人多车也多, 一片现代化的景象, 大家也很难想像香港在一百年前还是一个落後的渔村. 无疑都市化的生活带给人们很多的方便，但很多人如笔者一样, 有时候也会怕生活太过挤迫. 闹市中要找一点休憩的地方已不容易, 更何况要找寂静平淡的生活? 反樸归真, 偶尔间走到小小的渔村, 或许可以给生活一点喘息.
