La villa Arnaga est une maison construite par Edmond Rostand à Cambo-les-Bains au début du XXᵉ siècle. La villa et son parc, aujourd'hui propriété de la commune de Cambo-les-Bains, abritent le musée Edmond Rostand.
Edmond Rostand, né le 1er avril 1868 à Marseille et mort le 2 décembre 1918 à Paris, est un écrivain, dramaturge, poète et essayiste français.
Il est l'auteur de l'une des pièces les plus connues du théâtre français, Cyrano de Bergerac,
De l'âge de 10 à 17 ans, il étudie au lycée Thiers. Il y accumule les prix et les accessits, étant particulièrement remarqué en composition française, en histoire et en latin. Il se rend à Paris en 1884 pour les compléter au collège Stanislas pendant deux ans. Il écrit une pièce restée inédite, Les Petites Manies et une nouvelle en prose, Mon La Bruyère. Muni de son baccalauréat, son père le dirige vers l'école de Droit car il souhaite en faire un diplomate. Il passe sa licence, puis s'inscrit au barreau sans y exercer, avant de se décider à se consacrer à la poésie.

The Tuen Mun River is a river in Tuen Mun, New Territories, Hong Kong. It has many tributaries, with major ones coming from Lam Tei, Kau Keng Shan, Hung Shui Hang and Nai Wai. I learned today that this kind and gentle man, Mun Jeong, died on November 9, 2018. For a while a couple of years ago, I would frequently encounter him in the park and he was very fond of Blanca. He shared an interest in photography and gave me his Rolleiflex camera as well as other things. In one conversation, he told me some of his life story. As a gesture of respect and affection towards him, I want to preserve his story here, what little I know.
As a 6-year-old in approximately 1938, Mun traveled from China to San Francisco with his aunt and uncle. He never again had contact with his parents or siblings and never learned what became of them. He spoke no English and was sent to school. Within a week, he was diagnosed with tuberculosis and then spent 1-1/2 years in a hospital. After that, he was sent to what he called a "health school" for several years. He spoke of it fondly and appreciated the care he received there.
Later on, he joined the US military and was in Japan and Korea. He became an accountant in San Francisco. He never married and his passions were photography, tennis and fishing. Eventually, he retired in Gold Beach, Oregon, because he had been coming to the Rogue River for years to fish and liked it here.
I never left his house without carrying gifts of almonds, dried apricots or green tea and oolong tea. He was soft-spoken with a Chinese accent and had pictures of friends' dogs on his shelves. I liked him a lot.
