A view inside the 100" multitouch, multiuser exhibit table developed by Ideum for Adventure Science Center in Nashville, Tennessee. The table has two computers and projectors and a contiguous surface that allows several people to interact simultaneously with the same program.

The table uses infrared LEDs and infrared cameras to track multiple points of input.

With a 100" surface and an 86" viewable area is it among one of the largest contiguous multitouch tables ever developed. The screen has a 16 x 5 ratio aspect and a 2304 x 800 pixel, high-resolution screen.

The exhibit explores the electromagnetic spectrum. The extended aspect ratio mimics the spectrum itself, from radio waves to gamma rays. Visitors can then move images across the table and see how they are imaged in each waveform.

The exhibit displays a variety of celestial and terrestrial images in a variety of wavelengths. For example, NASA images of the sun can be seen in all wavelengths. Common and iconic objects were photographed in a variety of wavelengths. For example, a birthday cake with lit candles, a toy robot, an alarm clock, and even a hand holding an iPhone are seen in visible, infrared, ultraviolet, and x-ray.

The haptic tempered glass and aluminum and steel construction make the table incredibly durable. Blue LED lighting makes the table stand out. It will be part of the Space Chase Gallery at the Adventure Science Center. This exhibit will be open to the public on November 7th. The table is based on Ideum's commercially available MT-50 multitouch table. The software was built in Adobe Flash using the Gestureworks multitouch SDK and framework for Flash.

Developed in collaboration with the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame for an exhibition opening in spring 2019, this exhibit allows visitors to create custom objects by selecting pattern combinations and textures pulled from the Museum’s collection items. Ideum was challenged to create an experience that not only showcases collection items but also celebrates all of the designs in a cohesive and modern way.

A new dedicated industrial design space for exhibit design and the continuing development of our line of multitouch tables and touch walls.

Ideum’s in-house Industrial Design team did a great job matching form with function with the new Colossus. The fully redesigned Colossus touch table, with a massive 86″ display, is now available. Like its predecessor, this new version of the Colossus has a 4K Ultra HD display, is hardened for public spaces, and supports up to eight simultaneous users. We’ve updated the touch screen and the powerful integrated computer system in the table base. The overall table form factor is sleeker, as seen in such design touches as the crafting of a slimmer cradle for the top display that sheds inches from the previous design (it is now only 3″ thick).

SENSORY-MINDS GmbH, in cooperation with "Montfort Werbung", has developed the "Multitouch Experience Cube" - an eye-catching interactive trade show event installation. The walkable LED cube for the GRASS GmbH showcase has been the highlight at the Interzum 2011 trade show in Cologne, the international leading fair for suppliers to the furniture industry.

23 LCD displays attached inside the "Multitouch Experience Cube" formed a estimated 14 meter long multitouch wall. Inside visitors experienced a interactive product show controlled via iPhone app and moderated by a host. For this a interconnected real-time 3D rendering visualization including 3D Sound has been programmed in collaboration with "Realtime Department". The application itself has been developed in Ventuz – a real-time 3D authoring software.

As a final touch a custom designed LED ceiling has been fitted inside the interactive installation. The 3D visualizations created especially for the LED ceiling reacted upon the visitors interactions with the multitouch LCD displays and intensified the unique spatial sensations inside the "Multitouch Experience Cube".

Developed by SENSORY-MINDS GmbH in cooperation with "Montfort Werbung", "Realtime Department" and "radarTOUCH".

Visit Indy, the official guide to travel and meetings in Indianapolis, worked with both RATIO Architects, Inc. and Ideum to enhance tourism wayfinding and to attract new business to the city using an interactive 3D model of Indianapolis.

Visitors to the Visit Indy offices can now explore the city’s vast offerings for business, leisure, dining, and accommodations by interacting with the 3D multitouch city on a huge 65” Presenter touch wall by Ideum. The Visit Indy application allows visitors to use a variety of gestures to navigate around the city to identify destinations. Tapping a building brings up a window about the details of the place. Visitors can save their favorite spot in the “My Indy” collection. These personalized item lists may be emailed to the visitor to engage them outside of the experience.

Ideum multitouch displays use LG 4K Ultra HD commercial screens and advanced touch technology from 3M™ in a rugged all-aluminum case. Our interactive displays are used in architecture and design, exhibits, construction, trade shows, retail, control rooms, and other settings.

Our motorized electric stands allow for unprecedented versatility in display orientation to enhance any Windows touch-based productivity or collaborative application. You can lift and lower the Presenter display or tilt it to any angle. You can also easily convert your touch display from a touch wall to a multitouch table or even to a drafting-style orientation.

Ideum developed first-of-their-kind 4K UHD 55" and 84" multitouch tables for the Cooper-Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum. These tables have projected capacitive touch technology and have built NFC stations, allowing visitors to "check in" with a specialized stylus pen. All of the units are fabricated out of aluminum and are turnkey systems.

For the exhibit, we developed custom software which allows visitors to view both terrestrial and celestial objects across different wavelengths. The exhibit runs on an Ideum 100” dual 4K UHD Pano multitouch table. All of the content was developed specifically for the application. Ideum conducted a multispectral photo shoot for terrestrial objects and helped collect the latest celestial images. We worked with Science World in Vancouver to find appropriate images for the exhibit and collaborated on the content and text descriptions.

The 8K EM spectrum imaging exhibit will debut in the Eureka! Gallery at Science World at Telus World of Science in Vancouver in late February 2015. You can learn more about the Pano 100” multitouch table or the EM Spectrum exhibit on the Ideum website.
