The Western Design Room invites visitors to step into a space filled with colorful moving images to explore designs and artifacts inspired by the American West.

Visitors use an Ideum 65” Platform multitouch table to select patterns and textures from the Museum’s collection and design objects such as boots, shirts, or horses. As guests explore combinations and create their own unique items, a massive wall projection changes to reflect their designs. This dynamic digital tapestry is constantly evolving, bringing classic Western motifs to life and inviting visitors to learn about the stories behind the designs.
For this innovative project, Ideum was challenged to create an experience that not only showcases items from the Museum’s collection but celebrates the designs in a cohesive and modern way. The Ideum team collaborated with the Museum to select objects from their collections to serve as a point of inspiration. The tapestry’s images are created by three Christie Digital short-throw projectors and blended with Christie’s Pandora's Box media server. Ideum software developers created the immersive display and design application using the Unity game engine.

The iPad 2 has a special trick: video mirroring. Whatever happens on the iPad screen happens on the HDMI-connected one...at full resolution and full framerate. You can even use it like a desktop computer.
Just as fast and responsive as the real thing! Authored using the C# bindings for Gestureworks Core and the Unity "game development ecosystem," this 3D application allows up to 8 players to compete using drag, tap, and double-tap gestures for a completely natural-feeling game of foosball. The game is shown on an Ideum Platform 46 multitouch table with a 3M high performance display.

SENSORY-MINDS GmbH, in cooperation with "Montfort Werbung", has developed the "Multitouch Experience Cube" - an eye-catching interactive trade show event installation. The walkable LED cube for the GRASS GmbH showcase has been the highlight at the Interzum 2011 trade show in Cologne, the international leading fair for suppliers to the furniture industry.
23 LCD displays attached inside the "Multitouch Experience Cube" formed a estimated 14 meter long multitouch wall. Inside visitors experienced a interactive product show controlled via iPhone app and moderated by a host. For this a interconnected real-time 3D rendering visualization including 3D Sound has been programmed in collaboration with "Realtime Department". The application itself has been developed in Ventuz – a real-time 3D authoring software.
As a final touch a custom designed LED ceiling has been fitted inside the interactive installation. The 3D visualizations created especially for the LED ceiling reacted upon the visitors interactions with the multitouch LCD displays and intensified the unique spatial sensations inside the "Multitouch Experience Cube".
