I was playing with auction mode on my camera. I haven't had much of a chance to shoot lately and I wanted to post this up to the competition we are running on the S8100fd group.
This image shows me a lot.
First - I need to work on my lighting skills.
Second - I need to work on my composition skills
Third - I need to sleep and worry about it later.
It's been surmised that the Earspoon maybe have been used for dipping precious spices out of small, narrow bottles. If that's the case, then it would likely be oriented in this direction.

Damast steel - noble steel of the wordsmith
Damast steel represents craftsmanship that goes back more than 1000 years, even in antiquity, a few resourceful Swordsmith knew how to create blades of unusual, toughness and hardness from different kinds of steel. The multiple, folding and forge welding led to a homogenization of the material, requiring a great deal of skill and dedication.
Then, as now, a crowning, highlight in the production of a Damast blade was the finish.
The unique, characteristic patterns are revealed, through careful, grinding, polishing and etching, providing a glimpse into the soul of the steel. (The blade of this knife is manufactured from a high-quality, super clean, stainless Damasteel with 60 HRC.)

Tire levers, spare tube, mini-pump, glueless "speed" patches, Park MT-1 multitool, Sugino track nut wrench
Still doing well, the occasional weird noise from the bottom bracket but I am not pretty sure that is just the tightness of the crankarm being a bit off. Not having a torque wrench on me leaves me fiddling with a multitool, very amatuer.
This thing is designed to hang from your bike saddle and hold, well, whatever you want to put in it. I have a spare inner tube, a multitool and a CO2 cartridge/injector. Plus a phone, keys, maybe some nutrition.
Unfortunately, the zipper sprang apart during use today and there's no room to re-engage the zipps at the bottom of the track. Unless I can jimmy this thing back together, it just became a useless accessory.
maybe add some snaps or something? Wouldn't be waterproof, though. That would not be good for my phone.
a detail shot of the Cool Tool, especially the logo and phone number! I wonder if you could call them for roadside help? :-)
The photo also shows the "shelves" of the chain tool.
cheeky close up of a fly, as you can probably see
