Basin and Range National Monument will remain a multiple use area. That means among the cultural resources in the area one can find agricultural resources foraging on the natural resources.
Last year I followed sculptor and friend Mark Rietmeijer during the
process of creating a sculpture. When he started working on a new
one he asked me to make pictures again.
This time the material is Norwegian Pink - Rose Norwegian, composite
marble, multiple stratification, 50 x 70 x 80 cm., 480 kgms.
Adagium to his new sculpture: I never tackled or solved any problems
in my life, but instead I learn to dance with them and by considering
them as 'questionmarks with wings' I try to escape their weight and
gravity.

Rio Verde makes a 90º turn to the left and narrows right before it plunges over the cliff.
Located near Baños de Agua Santa, Ecuador, Devil Falls (Pailón del Diablo) is the tallest cascade in Ecuador at 262 feet (80 meters) high. It's formed where Rio Verde plunges into the massive canyon formed by Rio Pastaza on the eastern slope of the Andes. Rio Verde narrows suddenly and all the water is forced through a narrow rock chute so that it is hurled with great force at an angle over the side of the cliff into the caldron below where it continues down a steep crevasse to Rio Pastaza. Rio Pastaza is the traditional gateway into the Amazon basin that begins in eastern Ecuador. It was known to the earliest Spanish colonizers who formed multiple expeditions to find the legendary city of gold, El Dorado. Many died trying without ever finding the city, of course.
done by layering multiple partially transparent objects and then standing in front like this :)

This was my first multiple exposure taken 'in anger'.
It's quite subtle and only discernable once examining the shapes of the mountains...the clouds give it away as well.
Thinking of entering it in the annual Landscape Photographer of the Year competition...cross fingers ;-)

I am starting to put photography projects online for people to try. The multiple image one I am doing with some of my students right now is the first one.
This screengrab is the PicLens slideshow of the gallery of shots I have put up to help illustrate the project brief.
Some will be just for students, some will be open to anyone.
Why not give it a shot?
Details and a gallery of thirty or so images I have shot in the past [which hopefully will serve as inspiration] are all here:
