TEDxWeekend Lagos consisted of 60 unforgettable hours, from Friday evening to Sunday, with city tours and adventures, workshops, and fun social hangouts. Organizers connected while celebrating the TEDx spirit and mission from November 8-10, 2024.

Environment, a grant recipient of the USAID Urja Nepal project. The grant aims to foster an inclusive market value chain for electric cooking appliances as part of its women-led and women-focused effort to support the Government’s goal of increasing e-Cooking adoption across Nepal. Addressing the growing demand for e-Cooking appliance maintenance services is a key barrier in the technology’s adoption, especially in communities far from suppliers’ service centers.
With its abundant hydropower resources, accelerating the shift to e-Cooking achieves multiple development benefits for Nepal including reducing its reliance on expensive cooking fuel imports, stimulating demand for improved electricity services, decreasing household expenditures, and eliminating the impacts of household air pollution on women and their families.
