Remarks/comments:

Pioneer appear to be quite underrated if not unknown by a lot of 1/64 collectors. They are usually nicely cast and detailed. Most are part of multipack sets. Although not licensed this appears to be of a Mitsubishi Lancer EVO. Part of a 16 vehicle set. Mint and boxed.

Up until a few years ago Aldi was a great source for small scale Welly models, it was only a two or three time a year event but you could guarantee a great selection of multipacks containing a heady mix of new licensed castings and ancient relics from its early years. Rather predictably they followed suit of nearly every toy selling U.K. retailer by switching to HTI which now meant smaller multipacks containing a mix of generics and some licensed. Their licensed BMW X5 naturally made its appearance in this very vivid red colour and made some of these sets worth buying. A worthy little budget effort with appropriate amounts of painted detailing and an accurate interior. Bought back in November 2016. Mint and boxed.

I made two versions of this card because I couldn't tell if I liked the pearls or not. I finally grew a brain and realized that I didn't have to choose - I could just take a photo of the card with pearls and then pop 'em off and take a picture without! I'm curious as to what others think. If you have an opinion on which you prefer, Please let me know!

Having currently exhausted most of the UK available Far Eastern 1/64 diecasts from the usual manufacturers, I have started collecting more Pioneer models. They are usually available in multipacks and although not licensed they are usually a good likeness of real vehicles. This is a Mercedes-Benz T2 based mobile which Pioneer have amusingly made into an Army Mobile Command vehicle. Part of a 16 piece vehicle set bought very recently. Mint and boxed.

This is the first "warehoused" (non DSD) single serve-snack size Seasonal product to hit

Since I was home w/M this afternoon, I decided to take pictures with the real camera. Except I've forgotten how to use it and am crappy at metering and there's not really a well-lit spot in our house, anyway.

Since I can't do anything without M wanting to join me, I'll tell you about her outfit too!

On me:

Top: a dark pink deep-v t-shirt from Old Navy. I'd somehow forgotten that I had these shirts (I got several right around when M was born) - I must've put them away to make room for winter clothing (apparently my mama brain forgot about layering as a possibility?). Anyway, I like it, the cut's pretty flattering.

Cardigan: purple v-neck cardigan from Boden (same as the blue one I wore yesterday). I really like these sorts of color pairings, where I've got a lighter color underneath a similar darker color. I do this with blues and greens a lot, too.

Pants: Skinny jeans. I think they're these, I got them secondhand. That high stretch waist band is kind of weird - it's comfy enough, but it just kind of floats around my waist (and I swear I'm not actually tiny-waisted!). So I can't wear really close-fitting tops with these because it looks funny. But they're comfy (I mean, they're leggings, after all!) and I think they look cute on me, maybe?

Socks: crazy hot-pink print socks from Smartwool

Shoes: my beloved Born Codder shoes. I know red+pink is not really a great color combo but WHATEVER MY SHOES ARE AWESOME.

On M:

Top: A 24mo-size onesie from a multipack that I cut the crotches off of. I was able to make 12 "t-shirts" for less than $2/shirt this way. We don't do snap-crotches.

Bottom: 18-24mo size reversible sweatpants from babyGap. I *love* these. One side is green stripes and the other is a green-bean print. She's had them forever but now we don't have to roll them up anymore.

Must've had an "overbake" and decided to be nice and hand a couple free cakes? Baked at Emporia, KS

The rear end of train 2BM4. A skeletal articulated 5-pack low-deck wagon carrying "cartainers".

Transport of new cars by rail had ceased in eastern Australia for a decade or two, but was re-introduced. This time rather than carriage in special wagons, it was decided to use specially-built containers to carry the cars. At the rail destinatioin the car containers are transferred to road vehicles for delivery to final destination. These low-deck wagons were built specifically to carry the cartainers, which are taller than shippping containers.

RRYY skeletal cartainer articulated multipack wagon:

Didn't do anything technical to get the can to do this, if you drink half a can then it will balance on its side.

I kind of wish I had a can that didn't say "part of multipack" on the top, feel it kind of spoils it a little.
