I don't know what I love more: the illegal use of Calvin for religious propaganda or the juxtaposition of the Christian motifs with Tinkerbell.

I actually didn't eat my food and had it taken off the bill. It's the first time that's ever happened. I got a chicken pasta and the garlic sauce was seriously inedible. It tasted like they used garlic powder instead of fresh garlic and I just couldn't eat it!
I had no problems with my monster pina colada, though.

This set documents our first major Exhibition of 2010, "Buddha Speaks with a New Voice: Who am I?" (10th Apr-29th May)
This Exhibition was produced with Korea's delightful Mok-A Buddhist Museum.
This colourful exhibition of traditional and contemporary Buddhist art featured a selection of the Mok-A Buddhist Museum’s finest examples of traditional Buddhist Art along with contemporary examples by Important Intangible Cultural Asset No.108, Wood Sculptor Park Chan-soo.
Park Chan-soo has given his life and career to the preservation and creation of Buddhist sculpture. As a sculptor and teacher, Park Chan-soo leads classes to students from across the world, to ensure that his skills will be passed on to the next generation. Through his life’s work, Park Chan-soo has sought the true meaning behind Buddha’s teachings. The results of this personal journey of reflection and contemplation can be seen in Park’s contemporary pieces where humility and a love for your fellow man shine through. Park’s life has therefore not just been about the continuation of his special skills, but also about attaining enlightenment: an enlightenment that is achieved by understanding oneself and spreading the teachings of Buddha.
The title of the exhibition ‘Buddha Speaks with a New Voice: Who am I?’ reflects this enlightenment and the journey Park Chan-soo has taken to achieve it.
The Exhibition took place from 10th Apr-29th May 2010.
A Video of the Opening of the Exhibition can be seen here: the video features a welcome from H.E CHOO Kyu ho as well as a rare live sculpting performance from Park Chan-soo himself.

Monia Mazigh was born and raised in Tunisia and immigrated to Canada in 1991. She speaks Arabic, French, and English fluently and holds a Ph.D. in finance from McGill University. Dr. Mazigh has worked at the University of Ottawa and taught at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, British Columbia. In 2004, she ran in the federal election as a candidate for the NDP, gaining the most votes for her riding in the history of the NDP.
Dr. Mazigh was catapulted onto the public stage in 2002 when her husband Maher Arar, was deported to Syria where he was tortured and held without charge for over a year. During that time, Dr. Mazigh campaigned vigorously for her husband’s release and later fought to re-establish his reputation and sought reparations. In January 2007, after a lengthy inquiry, her husband finally received an apology from the Canadian government and was offered compensation for the “terrible ordeal” his family had suffered. Dr. Mazigh has since authored a memoir called Hope and Despair which documents her ordeal after her husband was arrested and how she campaigned to clear his name. Dr. Mazigh presently lives in Ottawa with her husband and two children. She has recently had her first novel, “Miroirs et mirages” published in French.
