The Miller Apartments or Flats, constructed in 1906 by Abraham Barker, are another example of the multi-family housing available to residents of Springfield's Enos Park neighborhood in the late 19th and early 20th century. Currently there are three original flats in this classical revival style building. The rest are one bedroom and studios and still retain the old world charm of hardwood floors and woodwork, pocket doors, mantelpieces and steam heat radiators.
This property has been identified as a potential candidate for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places.
Constructed in 1906, Stubbs Apartments (a.k.a. Stubbs Flats) is a six flat, three-story residential apartment building at 710 N. 5th Street in Springfield's revitalized Enos Park Neighborhood. The building, designed in the Classical Revival architectural style, was constructed by builder, brick and masonry contractor and Springfield landlord James A. Stubbs (1864-1937). Stubbs, a native of England, came to Springfield from Canada in 1892. He remained an active builder and brick contractor in the city until his death.

It may come as a surprise to see noisy, green-and-gray parrots racing through cities in the U.S. But Monk Parakeets, native to South America but long popular in the pet trade, established wild populations here in the 1960s. They are the only parrots to nest communally; dozens live together year-round in large, multifamily stick nests built in trees and on power poles. These large group nests may be one aid to surviving the cold winters in adopted cities as far north as Chicago and New York.

The 326-acre property has now been sold to the Chicago Bears National Football League (NFL) team. The Bears have announced plans to build a new football stadium there, along with a multi-use development to include restaurants, stores, offices, a hotel, multifamily housing, a performance venue, parks and open spaces.
The white line at the bottom of the frame is actually a fence railing, so... HFF 😋

A closer look at the east side addition to the house designed by Bloomington architect Arthur Pillsbury in 1904. With this addition, the house became a multifamily dwelling.
The original west (right) side of the house was built around 1855. While the original architect is unknown, the architectural style of the house is Greek Revival. The house was built for Phillip and Sophia Young. Phillip Young was a diagnosing pharmacist and preacher.
The Phillip & Sophia Young House is a contributing property in Bloomington's East Grove Street District. This residential historic district includes 43 houses and apartment buildings, 25 of which are considered contributing buildings. The houses in the district were built between 1855 and 1915 for many of Bloomington's upper middle class residents. Due to a building boom between 1880 and 1900, the then-popular Queen Anne style is the most prevalent in the district. Other popular architectural styles in the district include Greek Revival homes from the 1850s, Italianate homes built between 1860 and 1880, and Arts and Crafts homes built in the 1900s. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 1987.

Designed for a population of about 5,000, the premises include many amenities, including laundromats, baths, kindergartens, a library, doctor's offices, and business offices.
The housing was designed by architect and city planner Karl Ehn.

"Berenguer House..was built in 1908 by the brothers Bonaventura and Joaquim Bassegoda i Amigó, as a multifamily house for the industrialist Casimir Clapés of the "Nephews of Berenguer" textile society. It is a modernist building with Gothic revival influences. It has a very interesting stone façade, with several elements allegorical to the textile industry....The restoration in 1990 was an effort to recover the richness of the original materials. It is considered to be the Bassegoda brothers' masterpiece." --https://www.monument-tracker.com/en/guide/3101-casa-berenguer.html
