My struggle with MtM bodies continues :) Uh, I'm soo hesitant! On the one hand there's this insane range of poses and movement possibilities, and their prices are quite all right. On the other hand, the quality and overall design are not as polished as with other doll manufacturers... I really can't make up my mind if I like them or not, I guess the only way is to keep experimenting an playing ;)

I’ve been on a head shrinking kick for a week and a bit now since I didn’t want to waste any of my acetone. I tossed in an Orange Top MTM head first but her scalp tore cuz her head glue was SO stiff and inflexible even after soaking in acetone.
I also have a huge excess of these purple top MTM heads so I decided to shrink one cuz while the playline sized Lea head isn’t huge, paired with the super plain screening her features were really washed out and bland.
Surprisingly her head glue became super soft and she shrank perfectly to the pre-2005 Lea head size so I stuck her on a knock off Fashionista with a light-ish skin tone.
I also still am not happy with her default look cuz it looked super unfinished so I painted in some shading around her eyes and painted her eyebrows to be less brown and more black. It’s a very small change but it makes a huge difference to her face…
Two different Stardolls, flanking Target exclusive AA Barbie. Skin tone matches are pretty perfect. Really hope we get MTM dolls in more skin tones. Love the expressiveness and the price!

One of NP 328's earlier runs to Hudson. Here they're getting orders hooped up at East St Paul. The Rock Island commuter car we just bought was put into service before we finished rehabbing the windows so we just left them out which made for a great ride. When we left here and gained speed, a lot of passengers lost their hats due to being blown out of the open air car. The great trip made it worth it though.

When I saw an add with this Yoga pose, I became curious if MTM Barbie could replicate it.
It's not a 100 %, but it's pretty close, and she balanced very well.

The Minnesota Transportation Museum ran a migration move from the Jackson Street Roundhouse in St. Paul, Minnesota to Osceola, WI on Tuesday. The consist included BN 325, 6234, SOO 559, a DM&E ballast hopper and a number of coaches. I managed to catch this a handful of times, this photo was taken in Dellwood, Minnesota on the CP Withrow Subdivision.
Another MTM move Ken body. The only exception to this one is the arms are black and no the pale/ghost skin tone like the rest of the body. It is the same as Batman vs Superman Ken doll(s).
Model(s): Faraway Forest King of the Crystal Cave Ken & Emmett - Twilight.
This skin tone matches Twilight Cullen (Carlisle, Edward, Emmett & Jasper). It also matches Legolas (Lord of the Rings), Man Bun BMR 1959, BTS doll line & & the following Fashionista Ken(s) #16 #115, #139 & #154 (there are more but these are few I could think of). This is considered Japanese skin stone for the IT line (their line may or may not have a bit of a yellow undertone but it's the pale ghost or porcelain skin tone). I will try MSC & Chalk Pastels to see if I can turn the black arms into something close to the rest of their bodies.

When I bought my Princess of Japan doll to rebody I felt kind of bad just leaving a perfectly good body and outfit sit in the box so I shoved on a spare MTM Lea head. However the skin tones never matched so I’ve been sort of planning to give her Geisha makeup to cover up the mismatch.
I decided not to go overboard with it in terms of patterns and shading but rather chose a simplistic look to not overwhelm the kimono she’s wearing lol.
