"So Long Sweet Summer" by Dashboard Confessional
So long, sweet summer
I stumbled upon you and gratefully basked in your rays
So long, sweet slumber
I fell into you, now you're gracefully falling away
Hey, thanks, thanks for that summer
It’s cold where you're going, I hope that your heart’s always warm
I gave you the best, I gave you the best that I had
You passed on the letters and passed on the best that I had

Lith A+B+D+water 30+30+10+1000ml 3:45 minutes, followed by two rinsing cycles of 15 seconds and Siena developer (Siena 15ml + Carbonate 20ml + Ammonium chloride 15ml + water 900ml) 2:45 minutes.
Right hand side a toned print.
Polychrome developed prints (whether yellowish or reddish) react extremely quickly to polysulphide toners and with a completely different colour compared to conventionally developed prints. Therefore, this toner should be diluted much higher than usual. MT4 polysulphide toner 1+500 (!) 40 seconds. Because the toner also works at dilutions above 1+1000, it continues to tone during the final wash. And it is essential to bear in mind that the final colour is only achieved after drying.

Because polysulphide toners continue to tone during washing, toning should be stopped with a 10% sodium sulphite solution if the achieved colour is to be retained.

I mentioned that a CR crew gave four of us a ride back to our cars from the AE Staley lead after photographing the NW-3 seen in a previous frame. After hitting the pavement, we set up an impromptu photo line and grabbed this soft view of the RSD-12's passing our parked cars on the street as they are about to pass under the PRR viaduct on the corridor. The RSD-12's were retired shortly thereafter and rebuilt as Conrail MT4 slugs.

This pretty little OSCA MT4 boasts a fascinating history, which has been extensively researched by the owner who oversaw its painstaking restoration. Chassis number 1176 was built in 1956 and was shipped to its first owner, Jim Simpson, in the US. Chicago-born Simpson was a good customer of OSCA and had a lot of experience racing MT4s. But he crashed the car after just a couple of months and sold it.

Morelli was an Italian coachbuilding firm based in Ferrara and active in the 1950s and the 1960s, making primarily Aluminum bodies for OSCA. Of the some 200 cars produced by OSCA, perhaps 80 were MT4 models, and of the MT4 models, records show 40 Spiders with Morelli of Ferrara bodies. All five OSCA FS 372 Spiders (an updated version of the MT4) were bodied by Morelli.[3][4]

Officine Specializzate Costruzione Automobili, or OSCA, was established in Bologna, Italy, by Bindo, Ernesto, and Ettore Maserati in 1947, when they left the company that bore their name. Over the next two decades, the Maserati brothers produced, in extremely limited numbers, an astonishing variety of sports racing, grand touring, and formula cars, all characterized by technically advanced engineering and jewel-like attention to detail.

A bluish hue with Sulphur toning is only possible after Lith and a 2nd developer containing NH4Cl
Advantage: it is considerably cheaper
Disadvantage: possible conflicts with flatmates

MT4 Siean Polysulfidtoner 1+400 1 Minute
Another attempt with Record Rapid
At least with the very old batch with the increased base fog, a second developer bath with ammonium chloride is somewhat risky, but with a little more effort, it can be done.
First developer as usual (75+75+900 ml) but only 6 minutes,
then Lith Omega until the deep shadows turn black (45 seconds),
then stop bath and three subsequent rinses,
then Meritol 1+200 with ammonium chloride +1 ml Lith D as anti-fogging agent for 2:30 minutes.
As far as fogging is concerned, the result is not bad.
The next step, however, is playing with fire. Sulphur toners will show even the slightest fogging. Therefore, the whites in the image were clarified with a thin bleach and fixing bath (equivalent to Farmer's reducer) before toning.
