Taken on a cold 1978 winter day at Waseca, Minnesota, snowplow not yet repainted in C&NW markings.

Am digging into and scanning my black and whites from back in the 70's - 80's. Will be posting my best (for me anyway) work from railroading that I saw from the 1975 to 1980 time period - mainly the Conrail transition era.

With a TCW Gen II towing the train, MILW 4-8-4 #261 departs Winthrop on the rear of the Fall Colors train back to Minneapolis.

Old Union Pacific/Chicago Northwestern Bridge In Carver Minnesota. This bridge as demolished in October 2011. Quite possibly the site of a new pedestrian bridge for a trail between Chaska and Jordan.

This car is located in West Allis at 115th and about 200 feet south of Rogers street. This is on the old spur track that came off the main line ( Belton to Madison ) to serve about 4 customers. I remember riding this track at least 1 time with the West Allis job when I was about 15 years old.

Minneapolis and St. Louis EMD NW1 #D-538 sits at the National Railroad Museum in Green Bay, WI on a nice sunny afternoon.
