It looks like back in the day there was a siding on the East of the main on the south side of Eldora in addition to the west side.

All this time, I had no idea there were 2 grey and red CNW MOW cars in Altoona. They've been here for years and may remain here for some time. The crane in the middle wears UP logos, but does have a bright yellow S-3L for a horn. Kinda neat.
And to add to that, these flatcars are CGW and MSTL!
I had to be in Marshalltown today and picked up a couple pics I've intended to get but haven't.
In November of 2012 I went on a tour with the M&StL Yahoo group before they pulled up the rail on the IARR from here to Ackley. I always thought about a couple more shots but this is what can happen if you wait.

The start of my Palm Sunday run along the IARR. It looks like the M&StL had several tracks here back in the day before the yard was rebuilt, I assume more than once. I've always heard this end of the M&StL/CGW yards was a spagetti work of switches and the like.

Way back in the background, barely visible if you follow the waterway is the Iowa River Bridge north of Marshalltown.
EMD's warranty shop is in the old MStL shop in Marshalltown. At one time it was the GE warranty shop.
While setting up for a shot in Janesville, I came across this Minneapolis & St. Louis boiler and cab sitting along the tracks. The driver unit is to the right and a tender is even further right. Not sure what the intentions were , but hopefully this hulk is still at least cosmetically restorable.

Builders plate of the IARR/UP/CNW/M&StL bridge in Steamboat Rock. I spent Palm Sunday taking pictures along the length of the line before they pull up the rails south of MP 209. There are a lot of pics of that posted along with some from Rock Island Day in CF and IANR1501.
