Mylapore MRTS Station...
Some interesting scenes in a K Balachander movie were shot here well before the station became fully functional. Oops...forgot the name of the movie ! But the beauty of the lighting in those shots still lingers in my mind whenever I think of Mylapore station.
Shot during the 18th Chennai Photowalk. Its a summer morning...the station was totally sunlit (check the other shot with the train coming in). Tweeked some shutter speed and tried my best to make it an evening shot.
If someone can name the movie, I would watch it again and try to shoot some better photographs.
This picture was taken at the MRTS station at velachery. The chennai local train has a unique majestic look. One cant help admiring the pride and arrogance in its face of not having to stop for anyone. The bold and confident attitude clearly evident, the chennai local train is the representation of the character of the people of chennai who are high on self-respect. May be thats why we love the local trains so much.
**Displayed in the "Images of chennai" exhibition held in Alliance francaise from Aug 3rd to 18th Aug**

I'm aware that it is prohibited to take photographs on train stations here in Manila, but the guards are out and probably sleeping because it's almost midnight when i took this shot. this was taken on my way home after the Nine Inch Nails Wave Goodbye Tour.

Have you ever seen an empty MRT cart in Singapore? I got this at Kent Ridge around 5:30 am when the metro had just opened.
the mrt station by my house is in front of a local hospital...so there are always people walking around with IVs or heavily bandaged appendages....i imagine trying to get some fresh air outside of the hospital.
This is Esplanade MRT early in the morning in Singapore. You have to get up early to see the platform void of people!
Sometimes a gloomy weather doesn't mean you are wasted for the day when there are no sufficient lights. In this case from my archives I managed to find one with a good view point and re-worked it for maximum impact. newly processed in line with my new concept of "BEYOND..." If you would have noticed, I have added texts concepts to make give a published look. This will help keep image thefts at bay and at the same time show how it will present in a magazine..
