This is MRT (train) station and the surrounding building.
Taken with TTartisan 23mm manual lens.
Travelling by metro is the quickest way in MNL. Ironically, you have to wait some 20 mins just to get to the platform (station controls amount of people at the platform)
Mylapore MRTS Station...
Some interesting scenes in a K Balachander movie were shot here well before the station became fully functional. Oops...forgot the name of the movie ! But the beauty of the lighting in those shots still lingers in my mind whenever I think of Mylapore station.
Shot during the 18th Chennai Photowalk. Its a summer morning...the station was totally sunlit (check the other shot with the train coming in). Tweeked some shutter speed and tried my best to make it an evening shot.
If someone can name the movie, I would watch it again and try to shoot some better photographs.
This picture was taken at the MRTS station at velachery.The chennai local train has a unique majestic look.One cant help admiring the pride and arrogance in its face of not having to stop for anyone.The bold and confident attitude clearly evident, the chennai local train is the representation of the character of the people of chennai who are high on self-respect. May be thats why we love the local trains so much.
