Frolicking on a rose pink dahlia.

they call this male Cheetah in the Kwara concession due to his special abilities. He´s often found climbing trees which is unusual for a Cheetah.

This is the most amusing squirrel I've ever seen (and I've rehabbed many). He is totally wild, yet seemed perfectly comfortable with me coming within 3 feet of him, then he would drop down like a platypus and stay in that position until I tried to move closer. This sequence continued through about 4 of my approaches. I've seen squirrels lie like this on tree branches before, but never on the ground. I think this may be a cooling off mechanism??

Southern yellow-billed hornbills (Tockus leucomelas) are widespread across southern Africa, living mainly in the savannah bushveld, dry thorn fields, deciduous woodlands, and scrubs. These omnivorous birds are sometimes called 'flying bananas' because of their huge yellow bills. Madikwe Game Reserve, North-West Province, South Africa. Conservation Status: Least Concern

آذكروو الله .. :)

a white fronted bee eater (merops albicollis).

this kind of bee eater con be found in south africa all the year around.it's a lovely bird and in some areas quite common.

in photography the hardest part is in this case to get the details of the white front.the whites are very easy to be "fired" especially in canon.take care on exposure!

The most widely distributed of its genus, the Amethyst Woodstar is found in a great variety of habitats throughout its circum-Amazonian distribution. The male is mainly bronzy green above with a prominently forked tail, white sides to the rump, and a striking amethyst-colored throat, bordered by a white breast band. The female has a green-spotted white throat, orange-rufous sides to the underparts, and a narrow white line behind the eye. The Amethyst Woodstar has been recorded taking the nectar of a large number of plant species, and at least occasionally the species hawks insects in flight. This woodstar is probably largely sedentary, but local movements potentially occur, though have yet to be proven. The species is usually not uncommon, but is rather rare and has perhaps declined in northeast Argentina, and is very poorly known in Colombia. Züchner, T. and G. M. Kirwan (2020). The lovely Mr Whiskers.

The cat (Felis catus) is a small carnivorous mammal. It is the only domesticated species in the family Felidae

and often referred to as the domestic cat to distinguish it from wild members of the family. The cat is either a house cat or a farm cat, which are pets, or a feral cat, which ranges freely and avoids human contact.

Have a lovely day and look after yourself

Hard to miss the bright red plumage of the Northern Cardinal. Very pretty birds IMO.

52/52-2018 WHOOT!

Mr. Scrub Jay was born this early Spring in our garden's

Colorado Spruce, months later I have whistle trained

him to come to the upstairs window for fat peanuts ,

or better yet, I admit he has me well trained to deliver

treats upon his call :)

Celebrating completing the 52 Project, probably the

Despite its name, the Brazilian Tanager is not, quite, endemic to the lowlands of the Atlantic Forest biome of eastern Brazil, being also found in extreme northeast Argentina. Males are impossible mistake, being brilliant scarlet-red with a black tail and wings, and a very obviously pale mandible to the bill. Females, on the other hand, are less distinctively plumaged and recall, to some extent, females of other Ramphocelus tanagers, or even some Tachyphonus, but are generally much redder over the underparts than any similar species. There is no known overlap with the congeneric and much more widespread Silver-beaked Tanager (Ramphocelus carbo), which is substantially darker in both sexes than the present species, although the two probably come close in various parts of eastern Brazil.

Wishing everyone a Peaceful Thursday!

Lots of fun watching the juvenile Rufous hummingbirds chase each other round the garden. This one’s worn out.

Lovely evening in the national park of Malalcahuello, amazing valley full of araucarias. This lonely specie was a extraordinary case for my shoot, Chile.
