they call this male Cheetah in the Kwara concession due to his special abilities. He´s often found climbing trees which is unusual for a Cheetah.

The pied kingfisher ( ceryle rudis ) is the most common african kingfisher.it can be found wherever there is water..and not only freshwater...they can live also along the sea coast and inside harbours.this kingfisher is arrived in europe too coming from middle east.as first in greece and some individuals are arrived in south east italy too.
For sure the high adaptability is the key to its success.

This is the most amusing squirrel I've ever seen (and I've rehabbed many). He is totally wild, yet seemed perfectly comfortable with me coming within 3 feet of him, then he would drop down like a platypus and stay in that position until I tried to move closer. This sequence continued through about 4 of my approaches. I've seen squirrels lie like this on tree branches before, but never on the ground. I think this may be a cooling off mechanism??
Good Sunday morning everyone and hope a great day and weekend was had and will have had by everyone.
I had a pretty decent day yesterday and who wouldn't with these guys showing up.
Thanks to all for everything.
a white fronted bee eater (merops albicollis).
this kind of bee eater con be found in south africa all the year around.it's a lovely bird and in some areas quite common.
in photography the hardest part is in this case to get the details of the white front.the whites are very easy to be "fired" especially in canon.take care on exposure!

Birds in freedom. La Ceja, Colombia; Central Andes; 2.300 meters above sea level.
Momotus aequatorialis (Andean motmot / Barranquero)
The Andean Motmot, as the English name implies, is the Andean representative of the "Blue-crowned Motmot" complex. For many years, all members of this group were considered to be conspecific, but this group now is reclassified as representing five different species. The Andean Motmot occurs in humid montane forests of the Andes mountains of South America, from Colombia south to Bolivia. Andean motmot is a big bird about 50 cm from beak to tail.
These birds often sit still, and in their dense forest habitat can be difficult to see, despite their size. They eat small prey such as insects and lizards, and will also regularly take fruit.

Mr. Ed
Jay Livingston, Ray Evans
"Hello, I'm Mister Ed"
A horse is a horse of course of course
And no one can talk to a horse of course.
That is of course unless the horse
Is the famous Mister Ed!
Go right to the source and ask the horse.
He'll give you the answer that you'll endorse
He's always on a steady course.
Talk to Mister Ed!
People yakkity-yak a streak
And waste your time of day,
but Mister Ed will never speak
Unless he has something to say!
A horse is a horse of course of course
And this one'll talk 'til his voice is hoarse.
You've never heard of a talking horse?
Well, listen to this...
"I am Mister Ed!"

Hello Everyone,
As common as they might be, I always enjoy seeing Mallards. I spotted this drake a few days ago at a local park.
Thanks a million for stopping by and for leaving a comment. I do love hearing from you!
Have a fantastic day!
