Missouri Pacific Railroad Slug 1420 at North Little Rock, Arkansas on July 31, 1986, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Number 1420 was built in April 1951 as StLB&M SW9 9191 ( c/n 14329 ), renumbered to MP 1253 ( 1st ), renumbered again to MP 1217, rebuilt to class SL-1 1420 in December 1981, later becoming UP S29, then UPY 103, then UPY 923 on February 14, 2002, retired May 15, 2009.

BAGHDAD – U.S. Army military police Soldier, Sgt. Janet Ybarra, 18th Military Police Brigade and Multi-National Division-Baghdad, sits in her gunners turret as her squad prepares to depart for a mission in Baghdad, Iraq. Ybarra, a native of Otsego, Mich., is part the Brigade’s Personal Security Detachment. Ybarra’s job while out on a combat mission is to protect her squad and the most senior leader assigned to the team. Her senior leader while on mission assists and mentors the Iraqi Police forces.
