We'll miss living in our downtown pad, and although we'll still own it, life will not be the same.

This was the first home we ever purchased. We were here through some amazing events:

- 2 major elections

- 9/11

- the birth of our first daughter, Abby, just 3 days after that

- the 2002 & 2008 Stanley Cups

- the 2004 NBA Championship

- Superbowl XXL

- 8 Thanksgiving Day Parades

- my sister's wedding

- the death of our dear friend Jeff

- and, the birth of our second child, Molly in 2007.

We spent our 30's here, became parents and renewed our love of the city and its people. We will miss it daily.

No matter where we live, I will always consider myself a DETROITER.

Clarence Gate Gardens, London 2005

Bear left the Big Blue House some time ago and came to live at Golightly Towers, but he's always been happiest here when we've had small people to visit. So when we had our Big Clear Out at the weekend and Bagpuss, The Clangers and the Soup Dragon moved out, Bear and I had a chat. He's decided to pack up his stuff and leave here. He is going to live with Mollie and Maria, who have long coveted him and his Cha-cha-cha-ing. (They don't know yet, and neither do their Mom and Dad!)

Moving Couple Sitting on Couch

Always worth gettibg up early to see these Wading birds. Only a medium tide this morning, so there was enough mudflats left dry for them to roost out there. Then they move forward as tide gors out & exposes their mudflat feeding grounds

[helping her pack for school and because the house is now white, clean, and being sold. now completely someone else's.]

Moving out of the hotel

I'm moving out soon.

I'm scared. Excited. You know how it goes. Four 20 year olds in one house? Bring it on.

we're moving out to the countryside

to make the most of all that you can find

first turning now you've grown so tall

a gallery we'll build us upon a wall

I came across this random assortment of abandoned items outside a parking garage of a residential building. It almost looks like someone moved out and didn't take anything with them!
