The clouds were moving so fast that there was a new sky every few seconds.

Took this in Portland while my trailer was being loaded. Also took a bunch of flower shots but they all sucked, lol. I liked the feeling of movement in this.

Walking through Little Wittenham Wood with Damain Ward we came across a wonderful collection of trees on the edge of a clearing where there had been some forestry work. It is a managed wood, so there are always piles of logs kicking around. The trouble was the head high deer fence that run round them. So lifting the tripod up and thankfull for my new wireless shutter release I grabbed some frames and this is the result of two of them stitched together. I liked the way the main tree seemed to be moving into the clearing to see what had been done, with a hint of sadness.

I see moving waves. Do you???

Life's got pretty damn hectic recently which means I've been away from my beloved photoshop for too long. I'm making my way through mountains of wedding editing (which of course I love) but it means I haven't had much time to be creative. I sat down to edit this image last night from NYC, and I just couldn't make it work. I had so many ideas for the outcome and the way I wanted to see it, but everything I did just did. not. work. In the end I decided to keep it simple and use no photoshop for a change.

So, Here's a pretty raw image from a shoot in New York that was meant to turn out differently... but it didn't and that's ok.

Moving to America

This 1953 Fageol Twin Coach Model FV-2260 moving van would make such a great RV! I illuminated the scene with a handheld flashlight while the camera's shutter was open during this long exposure night photo. I felt sheer joy while enjoying a beautiful cool evening in the mountains with friend photographing. This was part of a Notorious RGB 1165-mile photography safari with Mike Cooper, George Loo, and George the monkey.

The light is often moving with the wandering clouds, as there is often wind from the sea, which is 50 km away. In former times, the graveyards in France were around the churches. This graveyard was probably moved in the 19th century. Many of them were moved in that time. The hill where the graveyard lies today used to be a vineyard. The grape phylloxera catastrophe happened in northern France in the second half of the 19th century. But I think the vineyard wasn't in use any more anyway.
