I discovered this today. It's called IOGraph. It is a background application (Mac, Windows, Linux) that tracks where your mouse goes. You can allow it to use your background as a sort of back drop for the image (I chose not to). The dark circles represent where I left my mouse in a stopped position for a period of time. The normal lines are the actual tracking of the mouse.
This piece of art was tracked for about 3 hours and 20 minutes.

This mouse decided that my air filter would be a nice cushy place to live, so it moved in somewhere around Lake Chelan. For the next week, it chewed and scratched all around inside my car, going on a thousand mile journey around Eastern Washington. I finally was able to catch it by putting a donut hole in a no-kill trap on my engine block. I let it out into the bushes, and drove away before it could find its way back into my car. I hope it was promptly eaten by some badass hawk for all the trouble it put me through.

A strange scuttling noise on the decking - turns out a small mouse had managed to fall in this big green glass bottle thing we have sitting there - lucky there was no water in it really.
Vanishing off into the undergrowth. It was actually hard to get a decent shot of him, as it was still dark enough that the LCD screen on my camera wouldn't show him!
In the bottom of the array traps, there are open PVC pipes such as this one, which can give an animal opportunity to shelter. In the winter months, a small cotton ball is placed in there as well so that mice can build a nest to survive a night in the trap.
