Looking down from on top Mount Lemmon, across the city to the Santa Rita mountains in the south

Frankly I'm not sure where these were taken. Probably on the Butterfly Trail.

The trail is nothing like summer - but the green is coming back and short sections were already overgrown.

This is part of my "Reflections on a Stream" series. (Or I wanted practice with my macro lens.)

Southern Plateau Lizard, appears to be shedding skin on his tail and likely lost part of his tail.

we haven't had our usual monsoon rains this year. we need more moisture in order to make these green.

Taken on a short hike on the Lemmon Park and Lemmon Rock Lookout trails.

I joined Ned and the gang on the final summer Mount Lemmon hike on August 26 2015. We hiked the loop formed by the Mt. Lemmon Trail and the Meadow Trail (formerly the Power Line Road and the Lemmon Park Trail) at the top of the mountain.

Normally, on a hot summer day, I would expect people to head up here where the temperatures are cooler. This day, we saw very few people. I don't know if the recent increase in gas prices contributed to that.
