We returned to the Marshall Gulch trailhead and then hiked up the Aspen Trail to the aspen grove, November 1979.

Mount Lemmon, Arizona

 

I think this is what the Cowgill/Glendening guide refers to as the South Fork of Edgar Canyon - I didn't explore much but this was a great spot to take a break and enjoy a short rain storm.

The views back up the mountain were interesting (and occasional puzzling forcing us to get out the map to make sense of what we were seeing) - this view of Oracle Ridge, Red Ridge and the Reef of Rock was particularly interesting.

Photos from a hike on Mount Lemmon. We went past the old radar station (now the UA Mt. Lemmon SkyCenter) and through Lemmon Park, then looped back on the power line road.
