I assume that this red staining in this area was left fire retardant dropped during the Prison Fire earlier in the year.

During the summer of 2003, there was a huge, scary fire raging on Mount Lemmon. You can still see the effects today.

Fourth stop on the way to the Arizona BugGuide gathering. Mount Lemmon, Pima County, Arizona.

The road to Marshall Gulch was closed for several years due to sewage pollution from Summerhaven. After several years of no maintenance it just about disappeared.
