It was a big Tegula morning at Moonstone Beach at low tide this morning, with a cast of thousands piled up around the rocks. They used to be big part of the Chumash/Salinian seafood diet -- and vacant shells are very popular with hermit crabs. I'm pretty sure there's a ringer in here, at top center.

This is the new rose I got this spring.. I cut a bud and put it in a vase and was going to do a slide show of the flower opening but after a couple days it wilted so had to scrap that idea.. Took this late in the evening so that accounts for the dark background...

Unnoticed by hundreds of passing tourists this exquisite moon stone sits in a little corner store.

Its beauty is hidden from the angle their movement flows. But if one steps out of the mainflow, the light sparkles in their eyes.
