This 5+ year old server contains our Moodle Virtual Learning Network software...It runs on entirely free and open source software (CentOS, Apache, php, Moodle, and Mahara) and cost us exactly $0 in hardware and software costs. Moodle provides an extremely powerful virtual learning environment which serves as an online extension of the classrooms of some of our teachers. Mahara is the ePortfolio tool that we're beginning to dabble with a little bit as well (imagine a space where every student can share his/her work samples from year to year...this is what Mahara can do).
I wasn't sold on this originally as my photo of the day, but have grown to like it a bit.
The theme of my weekend was MOODLE and INTRO to CSS. Saturday am woke up at 4am burning with the desire to record my top ten tips for new edna Groups users. Shared it in the edna Group Owners forum and will work up a blog post soon.
Saturday night watched a great series of how to videos from the Moodleman himself Julian Ridden on how to create a Moodle template.
Tonight, I dug in and gave it a go. This is NOT the finished product, it's where I had to stop for tonight. I had a fantastic time learning and love, love, love Firebug, Dreamweaver, Filezilla and Gimp in concert. Also LOVE Colour Picker. (Yes I know Dreamweaver can FTP, no I haven't set it up yet cuz I was impatient.)
DOM = document object model (everything on a single web page *document* everything on that page is an object. Colour picker can spit back a palette of a web.

Thanks for checking Honey out... THIS IS A SHAMELESS ATTEMPT TO MAKE YOU AWARE OF THE PLIGHT OF THE TIGER!!! ...so... Thanks so much for all the comments and messages of support here at Flickr and at wildtiger.org, we really appreciate it.
No, this isn't a tiger or a lion or a gorilla...this is Honey. She's a moodle. She belongs to my brother and his family. I was in Sydney for a couple of weeks and Honey and I became good mates. I think we caused a few laughs because I am 190cm and Honey is about 190mm and when we went for runs together...well, I kind of got the feeling people were amused :)
Before I started looking after her Honey was very much a house dog. I left Sydney a few days before my brother and his family returned from overseas...hmmmm... I think Honey went through a bit of a personality change. You see, people that know me also know that I am happiest in a tent in the mountains or bashing my way through thick jungle. Luckily, my work often takes me to these places. So after a couple of weeks, Honey took on more of an outside dog personality...ummm...maybe spending alot more time in the bush than before... don't tell my bro ok :)
Because I travel so much I don't have a dog. However nearly all my family and friends have dogs... I love them. Hopefully I'll see you in a few months Honey.
16/2/2011 Update
For some reason this shot was amongst a whole lot of private in my photostream, so I am just making them public.
Thanks for looking...and please, if you are a lover of nature and are concerned about the environment you can help by supporting the Flickr group
Focus: 2010 - 2022 Tiger which we use to show people in remote areas that the outside world does care...

Our little dog, Molly, who does not get photographed very often now we have Yuki.
She just looked so cute poking her head out of her kennel I could not resist getting a shot of her. I was fortunate she was still there by the time I had gone inside and retrieved my camera.
We didn't have a baby-sitter today, so I ended up taking Olivia to work with me. Here, she's helping me update the Moodle server that was the photo-of-the-day yesterday.
Moodle
is a learning platform designed to provide educators, administrators and learners with a single robust, secure and integrated system to create personalised learning environments.
is a free and open-source learning management system (LMS) written in PHP and distributed under the GNU General Public License.
Developed on pedagogical principles, Moodle is used for blended learning, distance education, flipped classroom and other e-learning projects in schools, universities, workplaces and other sectors.
With customizable management features, it is used to create private websites with online courses for educators and trainers to achieve learning goals. Moodle (acronym for modular object-oriented dynamic learning environment) allows for extending and tailoring learning environments using community sourced plugins.

We got a puppy today!
His full name is Archibald but we call him Archie. the name was Adam's idea.
He's so cute, and soooo soft, and really sweet!
He's been sleeping a lot, but that's okay; He's had a big day, what with getting a new home and all.
The lady who brought him, so we could meet him before committing, gave us a little blanket and teddy for him, plus we gave him some ugly Pokemon soft toys. Then we found some squeaky toys for him. Then mum and I went to the supermarket, got him some food, plus a ball. But they didn't have any dog collars, so we had to go to Gladstone to get him one, he ended up with a cat collar for now.
He's a maltese cross poodle, which is know as either a moodle or a maltipoo, the boys like maltipoo better (get it, maltipoo...multi poo)
Be prepared for LOTS of photos of him!
He's a really good puppy, he's energetic like a puppy should be but he's also quite placid, like....he's not hyper :P
