Monogram Mesa, east-southeast of Fawn Springs Bench, 38.17328 -108.74214, Montrose County, Colorado, 27 May 2018. Artemisia tridentata, Gutierrezia sarothrae, Opuntia polyacantha, Agropyron cristatum, Bouteloua gracilis, Hesperostipa comata, Poa fendleriana, etc.
This was my very first Christmas stocking. I made it for my husband and monogrammed it with his "C" for Chris. I did make the mistake of using NON-bias binding, which really screwed up the toe. On my stocking that had more of an elf-like toe with lots of curves, I definitely used bias binding. I used one of my favorite prints, an Anna Maria Horner Velveteen and the piping is from some wintery green polished cotton.
