This monochrome monogram may be my Macro Monday posting for tomorrow, 11/21, for the theme of vintage. Am not exactly sure where this handkerchief came from, but both my grandmother and great grandmother had names that began with M.
There are two versions of this monogram- this and one that is backlit. I liked both and the ppl who chimed in seemed to like this one. The other one seems to have clearer details.

Film MM: Finally I did it... Macro Mondays on film. It does mean there isn't fully meaningful EXIF, but I hope I can be taken at my word. This was shot on Sunday 9th June 24, developed then same evening, then scanned this morning.
The subject is a monogrammed silver napkin ring that belonged to my deceased father (he grew up in a civilised household where they all had them... my upbringing somehow lacked that polish). Thought silver was quite an appropriate subject for a film shot.
The camera was a late eighties Canon EOS650, so it will take my modern Canon lenses, so this was shot with the 100mm macro lens. The film is Ilford HP5+ at box speed (400 ISO), developed in Atomal 49 7.5 mins at 20 degrees C. I had loaded a roll of HP5 on Saturday to see if I could still pull off any really fast action shots with analogue. I managed to get some race bikes in focus in some panning shots during one of the TT races on Saturday, so I finished off the roll on this project. I hope nobody minds its not digital, though I am sure I am not the first for MM.

An image captured where I set my camera to Manual mode and then used a variable neutral density filter and adjusted the shutter speed to bring out that milkier look to the waters rushing by in this creek.
This was a roadside stop along the Cascade River Road with Monogram Creek flowing downstream in Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest.
When i first saw this monogram i actually didnt really like her,but since i had a opportunity to get her through winning in the Wclub lottery i thought why not,and after seeing her in person and looking at her she is reallly starting to grow on me,and also that dress is just awesome lol and she also has the coolest shoes!!! which i havent photographed lol

This monogram bears my initials superimposed on a stock shot of the planet Earth. All the "Icons" on the Monogram are photos converted to ABR files and then "Stamped" ontop the initials.
I wonder if you can identify the icons (all from sci fi films and tv progs), if you cannot name the actual image, perhaps the prog / film it comes from. Beware, there are some oldies there.
