#6 of 28 Things I Love - My husband.

Technically he is the #1 thing I love but I didn't get around to shooting him until today. I told him about this shoot and he said he was thinking about the faces he wanted to make and the hats he wanted to wear all day. He is the funniest person I know.

Feel free to add notes or CC.

Wearing my monkey faces pjs. Getting ready for bed.

on the wall of a house near to Brick Lane, art by Mighty Mo (thanks Bravo 99)

Taken through dirty glass.

This rotter just had a shit into its hand and spread it out for inspection..... it then sat there quietly and seemed to ponder the meaning of life. Maybe it is all just shit?

Male Northern Green Jumping Spider.

After catching a few fleeting glances of ant-mimic jumping spiders in our mango tree over the past few days, I tried to find them again this morning. Unfortunately I didn't have much luck, and all the Rattle ants that I spotted turned out to actually be Rattle ants.

On the bright side, while following one of the ants across a leaf, I looked up from my viewfinder to see this little face staring at me. It's the first male Northern Green Jumping Spider (Mopsus mormon) that I've spotted, and I'm definitely happy with the image I caught of him.

Mopsus mormon is one of the largest jumping spiders in Australia, growing to around 12mm in length. For fairly obvious reasons, this spider is sometimes colloquially called the "Monkey-faced" jumping spider, though the feature is only really apparent in the male of the species.

Still, I'm not giving up on those ant mimics!

Monkey face expressing my longing for the dark side lost after yesterday's session :)

If you look close and use your imagination you can see the Monkey (or Gorilla) face in the rock formation on the summit.

One of my favorite morning dog walks is what I call the Monkey Face loop.

While at the Toronto Zoo on Saturday we watched these amazing Barbary Macaques for quite sometime. They had lots of room to roam while outside and didn't seem to mind the cooler temps..However, I felt after watching them they seemed sad. ;) That's just me..I feel all the animals at the Zoo are sad :(

"Medium sized monkey with a stout body, strong limbs and no tail. Dispite the name, it is a monkey not an ape. 11-13 kg. Males are about 50% heavier than females."

"Although the species is commonly referred to as the "Barbary Ape", the Barbary Macaque is a true monkey, not an ape."

I wish that I had taken this picture but I must admit my wife took it with her J3 mobile phone. Just goes to show that good camera gear isn't everything.

Can you believe the Real World turned this down?!

Central Oregon's famous Smith Rock State Park is no secret to rock climbers or photographers. Most people are stopped by the beauty of the park entrance area and never make it around to the "back side", where Monkeyface resides. Look closely at the rock tower on the right side of this image and the name will be self explanatory. This image was shot at sunset with some nice clouds in the background to soften the scene. I have a couple more images in mind from this area that I hope to share soon.

Horseshoe Lake is seen from Monkey Face at Upper Bidwell Park on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 in Chico, Calif. Upper Bidwell Park is a sprawling park in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains.

(Jessica Bartlett/University Photographer/CSU Chico)

After having given a hunting demonstration in the large natural chalkland meadow at the Hawk Conservancy near Andover, the bird is seen above perched on a barn's half-door, with the building's unlit interior creating the black backdrop.

A pale, long-winged, long-legged owl, 33–39 cm in length with an 80–95 cm wingspan. Its head and upper parts are buff, and the underparts are white. The face is heart-shaped. It has an effortless wavering flight as it quarters pastures or similar hunting grounds.

Alternative names often refer to the appearance, white underparts, or eerie, silent flight, including Monkey-faced Owl, Ghost Owl, Church Owl, Golden Owl, Rat Owl and Stone Owl. It has a notable shreee scream, ear-shattering at close range and can also hiss like snakes. When captured or cornered, they throw themselves on their backs and flail with sharp-taloned feet, an effective defence.

Contrary to popular belief, they do not make the call "tu-whit to-whoo" (which is made by the Tawny Owl). Barn Owls occur worldwide, on every continent except Antarctica. They are absent from large areas of Asia, the Sahara Desert and New Zealand.

These are birds of open country such as farmland, preferring to hunt along the edges of woods, feeding mostly on rodents. Each one may consume 1-7 rodents per night; a nesting pair and their young can eat thousands of rodents per year. The Barn Owl flies silently. Its ears are placed asymmetrically for maximum hearing, so the owls do not require sight to hunt. They can target and dive down to sink their talons through snow, grass or brush and seize rodents with deadly accuracy.

Compared to other owls of similar size, the Barn Owl has a much higher metabolic rate, requiring relatively more food. Pound for pound, they consume more rodent pests than possibly any other creature. This makes the Barn Owl one of the most economically valuable wildlife animals to farmers who find them more effective than poisons.

Predators of Barn Owls include opossums, raccoons, certain snakes, and other raptors such as hawks, eagles, and larger owls (including the Great Horned Owl and the Eurasian Eagle Owl). But their worst enemy is man, who has often killed them due to superstition, or ignorance of the bird's benefits. Barn Owls are relatively common throughout most of their range but are rare in Britain, with only some 4,400 breeding pairs.

The Monkey Face is on the left, do you see it? This is the only photo on my stream I didnt take. My son did. We only had a few precious hours at Smith Rock St. Park in eastern Oregon so he took the high road and I took the low one (previous photo) by the river. Each hike was well rewarded. He was able to hike to this vantage point in about an hour or less. I thought it was well worth posting and quite an excellent view.

This was Amanda in the hospital in early June 2005 with her mardi gras beads... why mardi gras beads you might ask? well, when amanda had to have two central lines put in her chest (like permanent IV lines) they came out just in the middle of her cleavage... of course the nurses and doctors had to check them and change the bandages frequently and one day amanda said "gees! i've had to flash my boobs so many times i ought to be getting mardi gras beads by now!" and so we brough her some, and then the nurses started bring her some... we hung them all around her room!

Abandoned Abused Street Dogs.

There's four dogs in this photo.

Mama, Rocky, Zoomer & Mickey.

This isn't an OMG moment cuz of the monkeys.

What it is, is just another walk back from

our visit to The Spirit House on our

way to the nuns bungalows.

We're almost there.

The Zoomer on point, Mama watching over her

shoulder for the photo guys safety. Rocky

herding Baby Mickey while protecting

him from any unruly primates.

Rocky likes to keep an

eye on me 2 ....;-)

And FYI, this is just a rag tag group of primates

that missed the first big wave of apes that

had us surrounded at The Spirit House.

Remember there's 3000 primates

living here with the dogs.

Apes = Big Problems !

A = B squared + P.
