These little squirrel monkeys are the epitome of high energy. It's nearly impossible to get a shot of them in focus using my gear. I was pleasantly surprised by the sharpness of this image as the rest of the shots from this exhibit were just a blur.

Here's a Squirrel Monkey
The Mantled Howler (Alouatta palliata), or Golden-mantled Howling Monkey, is a species of howler monkey, a type of New World monkey, from Central and South America. It is one of the monkey species most often seen and heard in the wild in Central America. It takes its "mantled" name from the long guard hairs on its sides.
I visited the Suncoast Primate Sanctuary where there are birds, snakes, turtles, and gators, as well as monkeys. I was unable to capture any of the primates as the cages were too obstructive, but I did mange to capture everything else.
This is actually a mini figurine (about 8-10" tall) atop a wooden post piling....I almost fooled you into thinking it was real for a moment, didn't I, LOL!!!:-)

I don't really know the specy of this monkey, I think it is a collobe. If you are able to identify it, please tell me. I spotted him in a tree in the Manyara National Park, Tanzania.
