Mojito is a traditional Cuban highball.
Traditionally, a mojito is a cocktail that consists of five ingredients: white rum, sugar (traditionally sugar cane juice), lime juice, sparkling water and mint. The original Cuban recipe uses spearmint or yerba buena, a mint variety very popular on the island. Its combination of sweetness, refreshing citrus and mint flavors are intended to complement the potent kick of the rum, and have made this clear highball a popular summer drink. The cocktail has a relatively low alcohol content (about 10 percent alcohol by volume).
When preparing a mojito, lime juice is added to sugar (or syrup) and mint leaves. The mixture is then gently mashed with a muddler. The mint leaves should only be bruised to release the essential oils and should not be shredded. Then rum is added and the mixture is briefly stirred to dissolve the sugar and to lift the mint leaves up from the bottom for better presentation. Finally, the drink is topped with whole ice cubes and sparkling soda water. Mint leaves and lime wedges are used to garnish the glass.
The mojito is one of the most famous rum-based highballs. There are several versions of the mojito.

My Portfolio: Package Design
The Mojito Collection is a high-end bartending kit that contains all the necessary utensils required to make a Mojito: a popular Cuban drink that consists of limes, mint and white rum. The products incorporated into the kit: a shaker, muddler, jigger, flavored sugar tin, two glasses, ice tongs, a cutting board and knife.
To avoid disposal, the package was designed with multiple second uses. The base is not only equipped for safe transportation of the products, but it also functions as a countertop display wrack. The lid doubles as an ice bucket, making The Mojito Collection the perfect on the go beverage kit.
from the left: mango, classic and - wait, I think this is something else. Whatever. They are amazingly good, with lots of mint leaves and a real sugar cane. I willnot tell you where, cuz it's a secret!
along with the the mint leaves, the coco mojito has muddled pinapple too. And coconut rum. And ordered "light on the syrup" it is a nice not-so-sweet alternative to something tropical. Pictured w/ a wheat beer - mmmmmm summer!
Nothing like a fresh Mojito on a hot summer Sunday!
Speedlite 580EXII left of subject pointing slightly up (That's the technical term anyway) into white reflector. Cropped to buggery because my 50mm lens can't focus this close.
