Rounding out my week of lame, center framed, me drinking something (mostly) photos with one of ME sucking back one of the most yummy Mojito's I have ever had the joy of sucking back.
Simple syrup instead of granular sugar, and nicely muddled instead of mashed to hell.
...and it's a double. yay

It's quite simple to make. Use Fresh mints, maple syrup, lemon, ice-cream soda, and add a few lychee or longan whichever preference you decide ;-)
Mint leaves for Macro Mondays "Just Leaves" theme. HMM!
Strobist: Lit with two Canon 580EXII Speedlights, one at 1/8 power in a 24" Impact Quickbox soft box, backlighting subject and one at 1/2 power, unmodified, underneath subject. Triggered by Pocketwizard Plus IIIs.
Refined recipe, with lime juice and sugar solution muddled with some fresh mint - mixed with crushed ice and good quality rum. Topped up with more ice, a splash of soda and garnished with a sprig of mint. (with thanks to thomask)

Malibu coconut rum 1 oz
club soda 1 oz
lime wedges 3
mint leaves 4
sugar 1 tsp
Muddle lime wedges, mint leaves, and sugar with a splash of club soda. Fill glass with ice and add the Malibu rum & 1 oz. club soda. Shake all ingredients together. Try not to shake too hard so you don't flatten the soda.

El mojito frape es un tipo de mojito en el que se han infusionado los sabores de la lima y la menta en el ron y despues se ha congelado este junto con zumo fresco de lima y sirope simple para poder consumirlo en forma de granizado/frape. Este se mezcla con un chorrito de soda momentos antes de consumirlo.

The frappe mojito is a kind of mojito which have infused into the rum the flavors of lime and mint and afterwards is frozen this along with fresh lime juice and simple syrup to consume in the form of granita / frappe. The frappé is mixed with a splash of soda just before consumption.
