Modular Origami Star (Maria Sinayskaya)

An old design with a slightly different assembly method. Don't know if you can see the difference but I like it much more this way!

Couldn't tell you the name of the model. Found it in Tomoko's book Unit Origami Fantasy...entirely in japanese :)
10214 Alternative build: modular train station. Entirely made with parts from set 10214. I’ve only added some stickers from an Xtra set and a clock face (there’s also an alternative that only uses parts from the set)

I have been laser cutting felt as part of my experimentation with textiles and textile techniques. I stitched together this form as part of a series of jewellery based on the theme: Organic Modular Structures. This felt object can be manipulated into different forms by pushing a side in to form concave surfaces anywhere on the form.

[Design Competition]
Tilt Modular is an innovative, forward thinking concept that seeks to establish a foundation for future projects on the site and be a catalyst for the larger community.
This infill site currently houses an RT station with service to downtown Sacramento, which will be incorporated into the design through the final stages. The initial phase will have two buildings for retail and offices. Across the street will be a public art component to draw more foot traffic and give the area a more populated and urban feel.
The design concept and materials used are in keeping with the architecture of the surrounding neighborhood.
The architect Shigeru Ban, created this national disaster refugee camp using recycled shipping containers. The modular nature of them allows for as many to be connected as necessary.

This thing is purely awesome. It can split into three different sections: a nosecone, a cockpit, and an engine. I built this for my minifigure Gordon. He is awesome too.
