View from a different angle on the pseudo Bundeswehr "Brocken" (not sure whether the name was derived from the German mountain "Brocken" in the Harz area, or a wacky translation for "big hulk", also a potential and matching translation?).

The small (8" x 8") self-made diorama shows some heath area with a small river that would be typical for a site at the (former) inner-German frontier, where the "Brocken" would have served to drive off Soviet pact armies. But reality overtook fiction ;)

The "Brocken" is finished in semi-authentic Bundeswehr colors and with some added weaponry (single action 75mm gun, anti tank missiles, IR spotlight) and details.

Moving the camera around the model to make like the model is moving. Rough attempt. Not polished.

Italeri Armored Pick-up, converted to civilian use. Painted Apple Green, custom suspension. Wheel from Aoshima, Tyres from 1/32 Tamiya.

mini spaceship model by Bandai

This is basically a pre painted model kit that I repainted using the CGI renders as reference. The model itself is one of the most accurate looking figures (or even statues for that matter) of the Bay-verse Optimus Prime, so adding a paint job just makes it look spot on. The truck parts were coated using an automotive clear coat, so it's super shiny.

Finally I added light up eyes, which really seal the deal and bring this guy to life!

The blades are removable by removing the forearm panels and he also features a interchangeable faceplate (regular mode with mouth and battle mode)

Just for the record, this model is almost the same size as ROTF leader class Prime and a little taller than MP-10.

Fujimi Suzuki Escudo Lowrider with 18" BBS LM

Tamiya 1/48 Vought F4U-1D "Corsair"

I liked the look of the closed helmet, and went gloss black with gold eyes.

Converted from Tamiya Lotus 99

All done, decals and all. Gotta say, I loved this kit.

VBL 1/35 scale modelkit from Tiger Model

yay, I snapped up a brand new visible horse kit on eBay about a week before christmas (for myself ;) ). The kit was sealed up in bags, but mysteriously my horse was missing his brain! I was tempted to put in a peanut instead.

If only my visible woman would pop out that kid so she could go for a ride!

Maudlin Modellers: 8 April 2018: More work on the 1983 Falcon. More panel liner and some painting. Starting to shape up. Probably 10 hours of doing panel liner alone so far.

I got an old Dark Phoenix model kit and it was hideous so I set to work re-sculpting and re-painting her, what do you think? I am a little happier with her now

Bought this for only $15 from EB!

I just couldn't resist!
