Sept 6, 2015: After a loooooong hiatus I'm back working on the hull. The shape of the bow is pretty dreadful and I'm taking steps to fix it. I first cut a strip of thin aluminum to match the correct contour of the bow 'ridge' that should fair into the hull with a distinctive sharp line. With it clamped in place I've begun back-filling and contouring the intersection. So far I've used 4 layers of Elmers Wood Filler, recommended by our model boat club Commodore Randy Smith

The model is mounted on the Rosewood backboard.
