Floatplanes at Fish Lake in Talkeetna. Alaska has the highest number of pilots per capita of any U.S. state: out of the estimated 663,661 residents, 8,550 are pilots, or about one in every 78 [Wikipedia].
View from Ill Bell with some interesting Toblerone-esque rocks in the foreground.. Late afternoon light on Froswick, with the flat profile of High Street beyond and to the right (they used to hold horse races and farmers markets up there apparently).
Froswick proved to be a peak too far on this walk, which started in Windermere. Long day on the fells but an exhilarating one!
I believe Ill Bell got its name from its smooth rounded symmetrical profile which is enhanced by two large cairns on the top.
Just got back from yet another trip to the Lake District. Not many photos taken due to inclement weather (putting it mildly) but here's one from April last year. I must have found a handy rock as this is in high resolution mode.

@ Art in the Park
An exhibition made by Jes and I as one 'artist'- as The Modes.
The collection is named "One Love, One Life" and shown on 2 stands. The first a little life story and the second a reflection of being two as well as one, where the essence is love.

The composition of this image was achieved IN CAMERA using an Apple iPhone 4S. Post capture processing was indeed done, but only involving the treatment of light and colour. By "breaking the rules" of the iPhone's panoramic function, the image can be skewed, splintered or fragmented into a multi-planarity that could, perhaps be called a form of "Millennial Cubism".

Jack in play mode. Sorry I’m way behind again. Will try and catch up some point over the next few days. Had a disastrous time... i smashed my phone screen and my laptop decided to wipe itself clean so lost many many thousands of photos in the process. It’s now in the repair shop hoping to recover them all. Luckily most seem to be saved on my one drive however I’ve none from this year so I’m hoping Andy the pc man manages to work a miracle 😱....xx

Getting caught up on my color film development, thanks to Blue Moon Photo in Portland, OR. Color development is annoying which is why I didn't do it myself this time.

those big cats have a slow approach technique during which a minimal error makes the hunting fail.
a leopard must approach about 10/15 meters from the prey to have a good chance..it then makes a brief and an explosive charge(uo to 60kmh) ,pounching on its prey and dispatching it with bite to the neck.leopards do not have the aptitude to chase their quarry over any kind of distance.many of their preys are faster and can be caught only with an ambush.despite what we think,researchers believe that each individual leopard accounts for 20/40 kills a year.
of course if preys are small or stolen from hyenas and lions they have to hunt much more.
the leopard intraspecific natural enemies are baboons (one of the leopard favorite meal too) ,hyenas and wild dogs can steal them the preys.
but only the male lions can catch and kill easily an adult leopard.
the lion females are used to attack leopards but usually with the purpose to intimidate them.lion females are more tolerant towards other animals not considered as food.
the lion males instead have an instinct that brings them to kill all the possible competitors and they do it.
in savute there are notorius lion prides and leopards must stay always on alert.
anyway the leopard remain maybe the most beautiful african predator ,a deadly form of perfection.

There was a time that Denim rocked the world, super bells and denim shirts. Mode, what is mode 1. a way or manner in which something occurs or is experienced and 2. a fashion or style in clothes....I think this sums up the mode of the 70s.
