Well last night we struck it lucky in Donegal. The Northern Lights came out to play, first significant aurora display in Ireland of 2012. I thought I would share some of the images I manged to get. These Images of the phenomena were taken at Fanad Head, Co. Donegal between 20:00-21:00 on the 22nd of January (last night).

I arrived at Fanad Head with two companions, just before darkness set in. As the skies around began to dim the northern horizon began to glow and a quick snap with my camera confirmed the presence of those elusive northern light with camera showing green and red hues cast across the northern sky. As the evening progressed so did the intensity of the display. The infamous curtain effect was on display as shafts of light shot out from the base of the auroral glow and shimmered across the sky. This was greeted by a chorus of Oohs! & Ahhs! The images show the shaft of light at the base of the auroral glow.

I also managed to take a quick time-lapse of the most active part of the display we seen. Clouds interfered though. The clouds soon moved in and a few hours later we heading home and spent the 90min drive reminiscing display.

Just a modified Ford Mustang GT. Nothing too fancy or clever, and model accuracy wasn't my priority either.

Thanks to everyone that commented on my last little query, this ended up being the comprimise and I actually like it a whole lot more than the uniform scaling that I had before. This way there is elements of the purple whilst still keeping the detail richness of the tanned skin.

A modified Osprey equipped with Combat Rifle, and Multiple Thruster Ports.

Modded an old skateboard and lowered it.

It's stable now. Using Realistic Lighting/Vividian for NLA etc etc ... move along.

I've looked through Hoddolmir's amazing flower resources pack and have added some flower fields to various parts of skyrim. Not a lot, so you'll have to look for them, and believe me it'll be worth it. Some of these shots look so real to me and make me nostalgic of when I was little and went on hikes in the fall.

original Ten has been bodyswapped and modded to be taller... perhaps exaggeratedly so, but that's the way i tend to visualise DT. new Ten is not modded at all... yet.

S!M is very confused...

ETA: this comic was definitely in the back of my mind:

A 1958 Bruegger-Radnor Centaur modded for a private Los Angeles taxi driver in 2003. Changes to the original design include a custom paintjob, a custom interior, and replacing the vehicle's hard top with a convertible top, as well as standard tune-ups and cleaning.

With this shot I went for a subway poster-esque advert feel, and it also shows off that the back seat has room to sit in for 2 passengers. The front seat also holds 2 passengers.

Once again at a sort of impass about what colour Cassie's skin shoulder be, do I keep the tan or go full of Shyvana ashen style? Mrrrr... This is a question I have to ask myself and others for that matter.

Plus I am pondering changing her scaling to exclusively be where the burn scars are to make it less uniform and also I could potentially make it white scaling on the purple skin or purple scaling on the tanned.

This is my daughter Julia's PC. It's a IBM 300GL (Intel Celeron Mendocino, 330 MHz) with 256MB RAM.

First we colored it with spray paint (Ciclamino diamantato), then reassembled it and installed Ubuntu 5.04 (Gnome 2.10). It runs surprisingly smoothly!

Julia loves to play Tuxpaint and GCompris, as well as some Flash games for kids we found on the internet.

Modified yellow 1930 Ford Model A, I think - SV 9625 - seen parked up at Knockhill Racing Circuit, Fife, Scotland, September 2021. These cars were apparently taking part in a Marie Curie charity tour.

Any additional information about the car will be welcomed.

This is my Skyrim Character that I've spent hours, probably weeks working on.

In winter I bought April Story’s girl body since they had a great sale and they were ok selling me an extra torso piece. The body is absolutely gorgeous, but I just can’t live without a waist joint and I hate boob joints, so I wanted to mod the body to have a waist joint similar to what Supia’s old body has.

First drew the lines of where the joint will end up and then the lines of where I should saw the pieces. I sawed them with a coping saw and as you can see, some of the holes were drilled really near the back, which turned out to be a small problem… The pieces are full resin so they weight a bit btw. In the end I had to fill out the hip piece a bit with epoxy, but thankfully it goes under the torso piece so it doesn’t show much.

After I did most of the work of drilling the pieces with dremel, I finished the job by hand with wet sandpaper.

I also sanded the nipples just a bit because they would have showed way too much through the clothes, they still do but not as bad anymore.

I’m really pleased because now the torso has that range of movement that I love on dolls with waist joints. And that shoulders and hip ratio~ <3

Finally my hands on a red one, for many not an interesting part but I dig these old modded bricks, still searching for trans clear if it exist (the straight one exist in clear so I'm hoping this one too)

A few classic Mobile Frames with some slight modifications. LEFT TO RIGHT:

Commissar (Tan): Equipped with Combat Rifle, Combustion Engine and Emergency Solar Panel.

Chub (Red): Equipped with Blaster and Turbo Boosters.

Scrambler (Orange): Equipped with Sting Laser, Armor Plates and Quad Mobility

Chub (Blue) Equipped with Energy Lance, and Dual Plasma Deflection Shields.

Sometimes it lasts in love but sometimes it hurts instead.

weird thing about WFH, i'm working harder at teaching than i ever have, but it's also been great for getting to some of my hobby goals (like organizing and using the spare bodies, for ex), because i'm home all the time.

here are some of the hybrids and otherwise modded dolls i got up to this year.

Taken from North Oxfordshire with an astro-modded Canon 1100D with 50mm fixed lens on a static tripod. No filters.

Pane 2 - 100 x 13 seconds at ISO-1600

Both stacked in Deep Sky Stacker, no calibration frames. Images processed separately in Photoshop CS2, Lightroom and Fast Stone Image Viewer, then stitched together using Microsoft ICE.

I wasn't actually intending to stitch these images; they just happened to overlap quite a lot so I had a go and stitching them together. These region of the summer night sky is absolutely teeming with interesting deep sky objects.
