Einige können ja immer noch nicht glauben, dass ich von Linux auf OSX umgestiegen bin. Aber bei dem günstigen Mac Mini konnte ich einfach nicht dran vorbei in die Apple Welt zu schnuppern. Ich bin echt zu frieden, mein Desktop ist super stylisch und alles sieht so aus wie ich will (war unter sämtlichen Linux Desktops nie der Fall). Und wenn doch mal was komisches im klicki-bunti OSX passiert, kann ich jederzeit ein Terminal öffnen und mir die Eingeweide anschauen. Der Kern von OSX ist ein BSD Unix - also nicht viel anders als ein Linux ;-)
Aber im Ursprungszustand konnnte ich ihn natürlich nicht lassen... Obwohl overclocking bei Macusern ja eher unüblich ist, hab ich meinen gleich mal um 20% schneller gemacht und auf 1,5Ghz übertacktet. Mei - wenn's auch so einfach geht und man bloss drei Widerstände weglöten muss. Mehr dazu auf der Seite von Leo Bodnar.
Eine Festplattenaktivitäts-Farbwechsel-LED hab ich ihm auch noch spendiert (das was links oberhalb an blauen Drähten in der Luft hängt und rot leuchtet). Bei der nächsten Gehäuseöffnung kommt die aber nach innen, neben die Weisse LED. Das sieht dann doch besser aus. ;-)

I wanted to try additive mods...and apparently, he was to be my guinea pig
for colour-matching resin as well since he's sunlight skin.
So I ordered him blank-faced through FCS, but he remained "dead" for 1 year whilst I procrastinated.
Most of the modding was already done early on;
I'm just really slow at finishing off mods - a terrible habit, I know.
Posted him on LJ when I was through and pretended I'd gotten a sunlight SwD Lucas instead.
It was an April Fools' joke that took in quite of a lot of people, amazingly
- so that was funny, if a little alarming. (Lucai: Secretly All The Same?)
I just really like how unthrilled he looks,
as though he has no patience for anything
and you're already wasting his time somehow.
(Clearly, I like dolls that look as though they hate me.)
He also has the "privilege" of having an optional head with a rather...different expression.
Guess he's pretty much my experimental doll!

Some time ago I finished Queen Nebula but I never took pictures of her.
She'll no longer be Queen Nebula as I gave her character to my Twigling Ingenue, and I felt that it was unfair to keep her all thet time in her box and I had to make some kind of tribute to this sweet girl before letting her go.

Ya no será la Reina Nébula, pues he decidido pasar ese personaje a mi Ingenue, y sentí que no era justo tenerla siempre guardada en su caja y que le debía unas fotos antes de dejarla partir.

I’ve had these old style jointed Disney Store prince bodies I *think* I got from @pandollop (please correct me but I got these years ago lol) and while I liked the articulation the sculpt was sooooo awkward and the articulation was so weird.
I realised the pale body matched my Emmett head cuz awhile back I added blushing to his head to try matching it for a EAH Dexter body but it didnt work and the spray painted body I have him on is a lot paler than his stained head lol.
But of course I’m older and have better tools so I dremeled the heck out of this body and wanted to make a longer neck to fit Emmett.
I ended up making huge amounts of holes on the torso but I filled it in with superglue and sprinkled it with cornstarch to make a tough sandable substance to fill the gaps.
It’s beefy and still sort of awkward but Emmett has another body now lol.

Yeah, so I modded out my Technic Set #42111 so it fit into the world of Death Race. Obviously model after Frankenstein ride, A Ford Mustang GT 05. With a Tombstone 6 inch steel armor on the back, twin 30mm machine Gatling guns.
With a couple of my own details to put my own spin on the car. With a winch on the front and the passenger seat taken up by 3 rockets for a missile launcher. And 4 rocket launcher on the roof of the car disguised as red lights.

Had some time today to start a personal project. :) I've been wanting to mod a DDH-03 into something cute. <3 Reshaped the nose and lips. I thought about changing the eye shape, but I think I'll keep it for now.

So I modded the Pullip clone body to accept vintage style heads. I first cut off 3mm off the neck and made sure it was angled right so the heads wouldn’t be looking upwards. I then hollowed out the neck.
I then got a broken barbie neck knob and flattened the ‘o’ ring part of it so it could fit into the thinner neck.. I then filled the neck full of hot glue and shoved the neck knob into the neck. I let it cool, then trimmed the knob smaller using nail clippers to match a vintage Francie neck knob, then thickened up the post with thread as I found the head shifted a bit too easily without a bit of bulk on the neck.
It may seem like a lot of effort but it’s there as an option if you dont want to ruin a vintage head and rather risk messing up a more modern body for it.
I’m waiting for the actual Francie to turn up before deciding if it suits her cuz from photos, she has a much pinker skin tone than my Growing Pretty hair Francie.
