I made this roughly SEVEN months ago as an entry for the Iron Modder contest on Flickr. This was my second mod to use real wood, and was made before I started allowing figs to hold the weapons.
A nice flashback, IMO.
I think one of my absolute pleasures of being a part of this community is theirs so many other creative minds, and the absolute skills with modders make the community so different. It seems theirs nothing that isn't the same, and still everything looks so in theme. The home is 350 prim and for this type of styling which is soo not like me, I've honestly been struggling. Going for the, not so cluttered 'lived' in look.

This is probably the most well known location on the line from Kimberley to Bloemfontein....for obvious reasons.
Class 26 no 3450 crossing the Modder River bridge east of Perdeberg on the afternoon of 3 July 1999.

Sanatorium Zonnestraal van Jan Duiker en zijn partners Bernard Bijvoet en Jan Gerko Wiebenga (deze laatste vooral vanwege zijn kennis op het gebied van betonbouw), gelegen op de hei bij Hilversum. Prachtig complex uit 1926-'28. Rijksmonument 46771.
Twee jaar geleden ook al eens geweest in tamelijk modderig weer. Dit keer deden de zon en de hei mee.
Hij was nog een soort van schoon toen we 'm ophaalden bij het verhuurbedrijf op de luchthaven van Lviv. Maar een witte auto wordt snel vies na een dag in de Oekraïense modder baggeren.

Nachdem wir etwa 5 Stunden am Ufer des Modder-Flusses an einer schönen Brücke vergeblich gewartet hatten, weil wir von verschiedenen Verspätungen unseres Zuges hörten, gaben wir auf und wanderten auf die andere Seite der Flussbrücke, wo wir diese heruntergekommenen Autowracks entdeckten. Völlig zugewachsen waren sie und wir mussten erst einmal die Kettensäge anwerfen und reichlich Grünschritt betreiben. Das ist das Ergebnis. Strecke Kimberley - Bloemfontein bei Perdeberg.
After waiting in vain for about 5 hours on the banks of the Modder River at a beautiful bridge, hearing of various delays to our train, we gave up and hiked to the other side of the river bridge where we discovered these derelict car wrecks. Completely overgrown they were, and we first had to fire up the chainsaw and do plenty of green stepping. This is the result. Route Kimberley - Bloemfontein near Perdeberg.
Dopo aver atteso invano per circa 5 ore sulle rive del fiume Modder presso un bellissimo ponte, sentendo parlare di vari ritardi del nostro treno, ci siamo arresi e abbiamo camminato fino all'altro lato del ponte del fiume, dove abbiamo scoperto questi rottami di auto abbandonate. Erano completamente ricoperte di vegetazione e abbiamo dovuto prima accendere la motosega e fare un bel po' di "green stepping". Questo è il risultato. Il tratto Kimberley - Bloemfontein vicino a Perdeberg.
Op pad met de alleskunnende, nekkendraaiende en stoere Dacia Logan. Oké, we zaten één keer vast in de modder (het asfalt ging over naar offroad), maar dat was niets.

Vandaag alweer gezond bezig geweest. De helft minder gefietst dan gisteren, maar wel door de modder gebanjerd op zoek naar een leuke plek. Nadat de schaduwen bij de Gijzelsestraat te lang bleken werd snel terug gegaan naar een bospaadje wat ik op de heenweg zag. Nadeel was dat dit paadje verderop een flinke modderpoel was. Toen ik net klaar stond kwam de RRF 4401 al aanrijden met een HSL, BLG autotrein naar Roosendaal.

I made the scope removable, so that I can put it on other weapons as well :)

La Louviëre - Aan de oevers van staalbedrijf Duferco.
Deze plek had voor mij persoonlijk een speciale betekenis.
Op nog geen 100 meter van elkaar met de rivier De Samber tussenin ziet men de oorsprong van staal en tegelijk de aftakeling ervan met als grootste status symbool voor de mens : De auto.
Ik had eigenlijk nog een andere titel in mijn gedachte.
Aan de oevers van de tijd.
La Louvière - At the shores of steel company Duferco.
This place had a special significance for me personally.
Less than 100 meters from each other with a water in between we see the origin of steel, while the degradation thereof with the biggest status symbol for the man: The car.
I had actually another title in my mind.
On the shores of time.
Without a doubt my favourite sniper rifle of all time. I absolutely LOVE it.
This is an updated and far more accurate replication of my attempt five month's ago.
Also, this is my entry for Iron Modder Round 3.

De gewone oeverlibel is een veelvoorkomende prachtige libel. Uitgekleurde mannetjes zijn blauw. De vrouwtjes zijn geel met op de bovenkant van het achterlijf twee dikke zwarte lengtestrepen. Nadat de larf uit het ei is gekropen overwintert deze twee á drie keer in de modder of plantresten in het water. Vliegtijd vanaf begin mei tot eind september.

The sun sets over a mudflat in Emmapolder, Groningen, The Netherlands. Lee .9ND hard grad filter applied.
I took of the barrel from the JFSL and replaced it with a shorter and thinner barell. The glue will be removed and painted over. If you are added,your one of the best weapon modder IMO and i would like C&C from you :)
