BOX DATE: 1977 (I believe)

MANUFACTURER: Mego Corp.

MISSING ITEMS: Shoes, purse

IMPORTANT NOTES: This dress was available in a variety of colors.

PERSONAL FUN FACT: Based on what I've read, this was a Montgomery Wards exclusive of sorts. The black version is apparently more common too. I wasn't sure if this was branded at all, because everyone just called it a Mego Montgomery Wards fashion. I unintentionally found carded images of the black one, when researching some other doll clothes. Sadly, I couldn't find the stock number for it. But the packaging lines up with 1977 Maddie Mod stuff (and the person who had pictures of it called it 1977). I acquired this in the "Supersize Sunday Lot" of 2024. My sister and I both knew this was special. She was convinced it was authentic Barbie. I, however, figured it was Mego. The construction is subtly different than a Mattel garment from this era...albeit this is fantastic quality. I'm so glad to know what this is, since I'll remember to use it on my dolls in the future.

Power pass through removed and end cap glued back on. I use gorilla glue. Takes a couple hours, but is bomb-proof glue. A good clamp is always helpful unless you wanna sit there holding it. This was one my first versions where I tried a bunch of different stuff, so that explains all the holes. Whoops.

My MIL made this beautiful bag for me out of Moda's Cotton Blossom charm pack.
