In this photo the model was an older man (in his thirties) who was in touch with his emotions and felt comfortable expressing himself. We found it more comfortable to shoot without a shirt as it created a more vulnerable environment for him.
In the photographing process we learned how different male and female models are expected to look and pose. It was a challenge to think up (or look up) typical female poses, but this was one that seemed to work.
In the shoot we opted to not use makeup or feminine clothing, unlike photographer Nir Arieli's Anima photoset, because we wanted to try with expression and pose alone to capture femininity.

C.E.R.T. (Correction Emergency Response Team) members from the West Virginia Department of Corrections organize in front of Lakin Correctional Facility Monday for a mock escape training excercise. Nearly 40 officers from almost all 11 correctional facilities in the state participated. The two runners had nearly a four-hour head start, and the officers tracked with dogs and established a perimeter to capture the escapees.

On Church Walk in the centre of Nantwich, there's a small pillar with a rather pretty mock Elizabethan house on top. An information board is to either side.
When I noticed the text scratched into the corner of this 4X5 inch glass negative I thought it would tell me the name of the family and the date. Now I am not so sure. It reads: The "Mocking Family" IX.10.02
I do find a few references to Mocking as a family name but the use of the quote marks makes me wonder if it is a play on words. Is it the photographer's family and are they mocking him?
After I scanned he negative and reversed it to a positive I noticed that the man in the center of the front row is holding a 4X5 bellows plate camera. I made an enlarged scan of that portion.

To edit this image, i used two photos of my sister; One of a mirror in front of her face, and another of her face alone. To begin with, I put both images in black and white and turned up the contrast to enhance the shadows and her facial features (lips, eyes), so the viewers eyes are more drawn to those areas. I then took the photo with the mirror and used the polygonal lasso tool to select the inside of the mirror, i then copied and pasted the outline on to the image of my sisters face alone and used the polygonal tool again to outline my sisters face. I then pasted my sisters face on top of the mirror and turned down the opacity to make it seem as though you could see through the mirror. This shows the complexity of human beings as the mirror represents the facade a lot of people have up, and by being able to see through the facade shows an inner personality that goes unseen. The bare shoulders also contributes to the image looking 'unseen' as it contrasts with the idea of different personalities, skin is a restricted part of us that is being seen in this image, and the mirror also doesn't restrict us from seeing the authentic side to her.
