Nearing the end of Movember... and my wife is counting the days!
Whether donations are for the cause, me looking like a tit, or my pathetic attempt at hair growth despite my wifes cries for NO, citing "It feels like my Dad... it's weird" -- all are welcome
A little over a week into Mustache Season and there appears to be a bit more than stubble this week

About Movember
Movember (the month formerly known as November) is an annual charity event held during November.
At the start of Movember guys register with a clean shaven face. The Movember participants, known as Mo Bros, have the remainder of the month to grow and groom their Mo, raising money along the way to benefit men's health - specifically prostate cancer and male depression.
Please visit http://au.movember.com.
About the Moustache
A moustache (or mustache) is facial hair grown on the upper lip. Often the term implies that the wearer grows only upper-lip hair while shaving the hair on his chin and cheeks. Growth of all facial hair would constitute a beard.

Several of the National Flight Centre's Cessna fleet have had moustaches applied for this year's Movember appeal.

In celebration of Movember 2014, we thought we would bring you some of the great examples of the ‘Mo’ to be found our archives.
Sergeant Jos Wild, who began his police career back in 1891, puts in a fine effort with this impressive handlebar Mo.
We believe he served in Blackpool Borough Police. His image is part of collection that came to the Greater Manchester Police Museum from the archives of the Rochdale Borough Police. Both Blackpool and Rochdale were at one point part of the Lancashire Constabulary area and this may account for his image ending up in Manchester.
Movember began in 2003 and has so far raised over £340 million men’s health projects.

Movember Gala featured an Arm Wrestling Booth
The Lady in the booth mentioned she was nationally ranked in the top 100 female arm wrestlers.
I teased that I'd come in 2nd 3 out of three years at my High School out of over 400 contestants. I then teased that I might be able to beat her. The joke was on me. It was a set up. She is not an arm wrestler.... we sure did share some laughs. Note her use of two arms near the end when we where both laughing. So it was official I lost.... however she had to use two arms to win! ;)
Movember is upon us! I have lent my upper lip to help with the cause again this year. Last year was for awareness, this year was different. My dad was diagnosed with Prostate cancer this past February, had his prostate removed in March and is undergoing radiation as we speak. This year I decided to try to raise money for the cause, I promised that if I raised my goal of $150 I would keep the stache for an additional month. So far I have raised $80. I will also be running in an 8km race at month's end in support of Movember.
For those friends who wish to donate here is a link to my Mo page
Just the beginning of the feast: there was chocolate zucchini cake, half-birthday cake (because I share a birthday in May with the son of one of the swimmers), pumpkin pie, pumpkin soup (pro tip: the towel is keeping the soup warm, and the soup is keeping my towel warm!), popcorn, blackberry scones, baking powder biscuits, pains au chocolats, oven-fresh raisin bread, leftover Halloween candy, Bengal Spice tea, etc. ...
Since it is once again the month of Movember. I'm part of a team of lip-wig farmers at work (called appropriately, DFMo.)
If you think I look good in a moustache, please consider donating. If you think I look terrible, disgusting, creepy, or hilarious in a moustache, please consider donating. Your donation goes towards raising awareness around and research into prevention of prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and suicide among men.
You can donate here: mobro.co/13640469. You can also see more photos of my moustaches over the years while you're there (if you like that sort of thing.) As little as $5 helps us towards our goal. Thanks!
Me and the boys from work sporting clean shaved faces on Tuesday for the start of Movember.
During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces, in Canada and around the world. With their “Mo’s”, these men raise vital funds and awareness for men's health, specifically prostate cancer.
On Movember 1st, guys register at Movember.com with a clean-shaven face. For the rest of the month, these selfless and generous men, known as Mo Bros, groom, trim and wax their way into the annals of fine moustachery. Supported by the women in their lives, Mo Sistas, Movember Mo Bros raise funds by seeking out sponsorship for their Mo-growing efforts.
Mo Bros effectively become walking, talking billboards for the 30 days of November. Through their actions and words, they raise awareness by prompting private and public conversation around the often ignored issue of men’s health.
The month of Movember is well underway and our Trooper thought that he would encourage you to help out.
Movember was conceived in 1999 in Adelaide Australia and was created to help bring awareness as well as to help fund research for Prostate Cancer. I was recently asked by my Father in Law to become a member of his Movember Team. It is a great cause and so it was an easy decision to give him my support. It also dawned on me that I know quite a few people now who have successfully won the battle with cancer; my mother in particular, and some who, sadly, lost that fight. With the help of my extended family I am trying to do my part.
Each of the men on our team, like all of the other participants will have shaved on November 1 and will, for the balance of the month, grow and groom a moustache as part of the effort to make people aware of the annual Movember event and its purpose. We need sponsor support in the form of donations to help our team reach its goal of raising $10,000 in our rookie year. If you would like to help us attain that lofty goal by making a donation, you can follow my Movember Link.
Enjoy!

Sorry for the crappy quality. A quickie with the iPhone for the second day. No real growth, just a little bit of roughness.
Please donate and help us kick off another amazing Movember

(Meanwhile, last Tuesday, local superstar Caleb K celebrated his 500th daily Gorge swim (except for New Years, when he was skiing and swam in the snow).)

Well, it's the 29th, and the Movember activities will end tomorrow with the removal of the mo'. It was seeing little "moustachioed" Sminthurinus elegans springtails that gave me the idea to participate this year. Grey hair on a pale face was never gonna look that great though!
But it's a great cause and I've raised a bit of money for the charity. If you'd like to add some more (or just make a comment), feel free to use the link in the image title.
30th November - mobro.co/iaincameron285?mc=1 - My moustache is in need of your support! Please donate to my Movember efforts and help me change the face of men’s health.
I'm having a hard time deciding which is more dapper: The X100, or that damned moustache.
For the record, that moustache hasn't seen the business end of a cutting device since November 1st, 2010, it's my Movember project gone wild
