Taken on a road to nowhere in Argyll. I already knew eventually I would have to turn around and come back, but at the end of the road is this old building and one house. The owners saw me taking this picture and came out for a chat. A lovely couple who had seen the world but now in their later years wouldn't live anywhere else, but at the end of this long road in isolation. They grow food in their garden and after a tour, I came away with a pot of homemade jam. Once a fortnight they do a 100 mile round trip to a supermarket in Oban for the things they can't grow!
As Steve and I headed back to the car after a fruitless plod around a muddy field we spotted this weather phenomenon in the bank of fog that was moving down the glen towards us.
I have never seen a real live fogbow before so was very pleased to witness and photograph one yesterday on our trip North & West.

Moon & Mist
A predawn view of the Kilmartin Glen, as the moon gets lower in the sky and the mist runs through the length of the valley.

Lovely early morning walk on the Mendips at Deerleap near Priddy looking down on the mist that coated the Somerset Levels.
Capture of a misty June dawn, with crops in
focus in the foreground, and trees shrouded
in mist in the background. Photo taken in
Barnet, Hertfordshire, UK in June 2014
Would you kiss me, in the mist?
Let your lips be slowly kissed
As the trees, standing tall
In the mist, they would call
Out your name, in a climatic shout
As the the fog , it fell about
Against the trees, hidden from sight
I would hold you , very tight
Tasting your kisses, so very sweet
As your skin, my hand did meet
Under the trees , in the mist
Will you let your lips, be kissed ?
