Salzburg, literally "Salt Fortress, is the capital city of the State of Salzburg and fourth-largest city in Austria. In 2020, it had a population of 156,872.
The town is located on the site of the former Roman settlement of Iuvavum. Salzburg was founded as an episcopal see in 696 and became a seat of the archbishop in 798. Its main sources of income were salt extraction and trade and, at times, gold mining. The fortress of Hohensalzburg, one of the largest medieval fortresses in Europe, dates from the 11th century. In the 17th century, Salzburg became a centre of the Counter-Reformation, where monasteries and numerous Baroque churches were built.
Salzburg's historic centre is thus renowned for its Baroque architecture and is one of the best-preserved city centers north of the Alps, with 27 churches. It was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996. The city has three universities and a large population of students. Tourists also visit Salzburg to tour the historic centre and the scenic Alpine surroundings. Salzburg was the birthplace of the 18th-century composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Because of its history, culture, and attractions, Salzburg has been labeled Austria's "most inspiring city." (Wikipedia)
I didn’t take too many shots on holiday this year, a lot of the typical ‘Greekness’ was missing where we stayed as there were no local ruins or old towns to visit. Plenty of sunsets though.
Bern Altstadt or old town viewed from the Rose Garden (Rosengarten) with its old buildings, beautiful bridges and river Aare.
Imagine looking for a missing sock in this vast windy desert of New Mexico. If the washing machine didn't eat the sock, the wind probably plucked it right off the clothes line and blew it into the next county.
Hovered between straight architecture and post apocalypse too much on this one and so it just looks too in between. Not clean enough and too broken to be architecture but too clean and not broken enough for apoca.
Still, I enjoyed building this and it’s sat around for too long unseen. Pretty sure it’s 2 years old now.
The idea was some sort of modern mansion with a 70s North Hollywood bungalow twist to it; I was channelling my inner Andreas on this one. Think one day I’ll redo it properly.

♪♫♬I went to your bedroom to see you again,
To miss you that much and it's such a long time,
I went to the aisle to marry to your soul,
To miss you that much
Missing you broke my life,
Hoping that you feel the same.
Missing you broke my life.
Missing you broke my life,
Hoping that you feel the same.
Missing you broke my life.
It's all over now, you've killed me,
It's all over now, you've killed me,
It's all over now, you've killed me,
It's all over now.
Fear is compressed in the back of my stomach,
The rust in my eyes from my corrode halo,
I remember your smile, distorted and pure,
To hold you 'til death.
Missing you broke my life,
Hoping that you feel the same.
Missing you broke my life.
Missing you broke my life,
Hoping that you feel the same.
Missing you broke my life.

From my last re-visit. A quick sprint round on a day with flat light and few goats. Even the heights of Dinorwic seem over populated compared to Ardnamurchan. But what adventures I've had in this place
What is 'landscape'? Why do admins for the Landscape Group reject this as 'landscape'? I think many admins are a---holes and crap photographers too. Have you ever looked at their own portfolios? I've yet to find an interesting one
