I'm still using the Sigma 100-400mm on my D500 and I'm liking it. I'm not missing the extra reach of the 150-600 from my hide. Next test is out on the beach with it.
I often find myself missing moments of beauty. This man on the beach was more captivated by his cell phone than the gorgeous setting sun in the distance. Another moment missed. I do like his pose though and how the sun was in perfect alignment for this composition.

The "missing link" obviously is the E string of my violin. It's still attached to its peg, and I don't remember when the string tore. I'm actually afraid of taking up playing again because I'm sure the sound I create won't exactly be pleasant after all those years of inactivity... Well, maybe one day I'll overcome my "fear of violin scratching" ;)
I was a bit at a loss for what to photograph for the "Music" theme because I had already photographed parts of my violin for several MM themes before. And since I also had little time last week, it had to be something quick, but I still tried this and that. Of the shots taken from my violin's bridge, this was the nicest. The lint in the empty spot where the E string should be has a nice shape, so it stayed ;)
It's a single shot taken with the Laowa macro lens. The single light source was bright sunshine from the window. I had hoped for more bokeh in the strings (and the stacking images I tried later with the Olympus 60 mm had more bokeh), but this was the most harmonious image of the bunch, and I also liked the colours.

Anna's Hummingbirds occasionally visit the Davis Mountains of far west Texas and farther south in late summer and fall. They are mainly a west coast hummingbird. This male is missing a few of his tail feathers.
