Macro Mondays - theme: jigsaw
a small jigsaw 3D puzzle ball (actually a Christmas bauble), lit from the inside with a LED bottle light .... and it wasn't easy at all to remove that piece (it seems these 3D puzzles are built to last) ... the things we do for MM : )
taken with the manual 60mm Laowa ultra macro lens
width of this image: about 4 cm at max (the whole bauble is 7.5 cm in diametre)

Yellowstone National Park
We stopped and admired this spot for quite a while. The plant life and scenery are incredible, much more so than this photo displays. I hope to see it again one of these days. Clearly an epic trip....
Just a year ago this would have been somewhat unthinkable, with the horde of foreign tourists at the Merlion Park platform fighting for a shot at the Merlion.
Now, almost a full year into the Covid-19 pandemic, those hordes are now missing and gone with border restrictions into Singapore. When we might get to see them back again is anyone's guess.

Every step I take, every move I make
Every single day, every time I pray
I'll be missing you
Thinkin' of the day, when you went away

But I cannot complain 2 days ago I was seeing this at Cape Kiwanda!
Thanks God for having that opportunity!
I was working on a photo for someone but the head wasn't quite right so I took a head from another photo and it wasn't right either so I just ended up with this until I retake the photo. I did think it was kind of a cool and unusual image anyway,
To me, this is the best season to visit Provence….Unfortunately, I can’t go there this year…But, every night, when I lay down on my bed, I smell it thanks to the Lavender Pillow that I’ve got from one of the smallest villages in Provence…. To the memory of my lovely Provence, I initiated a new photo series: Missing Provence. Within that project, every day I will share a photo that I took from my previous trips….to send my regards and love there…to nice people embellishing everything, to lavender soul and to its magic… I miss you Provence… BeNowMeHere, Valensole, Provence, France, 2015 via 500px bit.ly/29acHpj
Sunset at Fleetwood on the Lancashire coast.
I had not been here for a sunset shoot before and there are numerous wooden sea defences that align themselves nicely with the distant lakeland hills and the setting sun. The shoreline here arcs gently and therefore the groynes all have slightly different angles.
I liked this particular one with a missing piece of planking lying as driftwood on the pebbles. The half hour after sunset brought some lovely colour in the sky too.
This was a long exposure to bring a different look to the shot. The filters and lens were constantly getting covered in sea spray due to the fresh winds though!
