This was Esthwaite Water, on a warm September evening. I managed to capture the mists that had begun to roll in over the surface of the water. There were groups of bats skimming over the surface of the water feeding on unsuspecting insects.

I don't have any studio kit, so this was taken with a black t-shirt pinned inside a cardboard box, a make-up mirror and an LED torch held in one hand.

The South Island of New Zealand has some spectacular scenery, none better than in Fiordland.
This is the view over Mirror Lakes on the road from Te Anau to Milford Sound.

Playing with one from earlier in the month. The Photo Forum b/w challenge this week is 'mirrored' and I wondered how this would look. I mixed a different blend for the toning.

Stillness and calm, the water like a mirror...
Just a candid moment with my wife as she was getting ready to go out for the day with a friend. The good news is she's getting less annoyed each day with me taking the camera around the house and shooting every second.
